We stayed Saturday to Sunday in November. Bathroom was a wet room with a shower and a large bath. Fairly recent refurbishment apparent. Spa facilities were complimentary which was good and as it should be. Comprised two sauna. One steam room, one ice room, swimming pool, lots of gym kit. Breakfast was buffet style with a good full English and other options.

Not as advertised 4 star hotel this is just scraping a 3 star. First night went for meal and cocktails. Filthy cutlery was first alert then when we asked for cocktails said they didn’t have any pineapple juice or many cocktail ingredients so we gave food a miss. Window locks missing. Curtains fell off. No little bottles of toiletries etc as advertised. Overall very disappointed.
This is what was advertised instead we got above screwed in bottle to wall that took a lot of pumping.

The variety of food at breakfast was excellent but the temperatures of the buffet breakfast was not so good, cold eggs, mushrooms and hash browns. V.pleased with the room size/clean etc. The spa facilities were v.good although some areas are looking a little tired and in need of a spruce up. All the staff were v.nice and v.helpful. The toilets on the ground floor behind reception had dirty floors and dirty tiled walls.

The check-in was fine at first. Room was nice. The problems started in the morning waiting for the shower to warm up, finally gave up and settled for a cold shower. We went to reception to report the problem only to find out the newt there was a problem as the boiler for the 5th had broken down earlier in the week " No mention of this at check-in " We asked if it was being repaired and was told not, asked what the alternatives were and basically told that nothing could be done.

Staff were nice and helpful. Room was not very clean. Very small for the money. TV didnt work, even though they said it was fixed. Cramped room for £98.00. Although that did include breakfast. Won't be going back. Ideal for multiple people on coach trips. Couldn't find my booking, then triwd to charge £198.00 for the same room. Reception sorted it out ok. Carpark limited and poor signs in the dark
