We had a wonderful stay at "The Coop"! We had a very short stay as we chose to stay here on the way back to Texas from an LSU football game, but the hosts were super understanding when we came in late and left the light on the porch turned on for us. We woke up to the horses outside our window which was a fun treat! Everything was clean and we will absolutely stay here again if we ever find ourselves in LA.
These were absolutely some of the most amazing hosts weâve encountered and everything you need as far as food and shopping is close by. We will go back.
Love this quiet, relaxing little coop. Donkey and the horses, Chickens, cats, dogs are your neighbors. Annette and Gerard are nice and friendly. If we get back down there, we will stay there again. Thank you so much!
â The Coopâ what a wonderful place to unwind. We enjoyed every minute of our stay . Waking up to the rooster crowing and looking out the window to see the precious little foul and donkey was a pleasure . Enjoyed feeding all the horses . What great people Anette and Gerald are - so welcoming. We booked another stay at The Coop before we even left
Excellent host and clean home. We arrived late at night and the host was kind to leave the porch lights on and stayed up to ensure that we could properly access the home. They went above and beyond here. Thank you!
Absolutely fantastic! The Coop is adorable and the surrounding area is so peaceful. Annette and Gerard are the perfect hosts. We will be back for a longer stay. Thanks for a great stay.
What a lovely little Coop, a great stop on our trip, a cool farm atmosphere with horses chickens cats and dogs, surely a wonderful place to spend a few days.
Very clean place! This country setting stay was amazing. From the beautiful little foal to the great hostess we really enjoyed our stay. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!!
We came after the recent snow and ice storm and Mother Nature definitely had some other plans. Busted the water lines in south Louisiana. The owners reached out to us before check in and made us aware they were doing everything in their power to repair the water lines before we got there. The owners stated they would make it right and if they couldnât, they would sponsor a stay at another location like hotel. By the time we checked in, the owners had the problem completely fixed allowing us to check in. The property has a code to lock / unlock the door. We checked in and were able to spend time with the horses, chickens, and were able spend quality time at the property and even had snowball fights with the left over snow. Weird thing to say in Louisiana. I know. The kitchen was stocked with bowls, plates, and silverware. Crazy thing is I had to use a bowl to help de ice our windshield in the morning . Plenty of towels for our stay. Owners are the nicest people you can meet and will go out of their way to help you
Our stay was only enhanced by this location we enjoyed being away from the city with fresh air and friendly people and animals. Will be first on our list when we are back in town Thank you
The host was incredibly kind and so friendly. The place is everything and more; quiet, clean and truly filled with anything you might have forgotten or need for a stay of any length. The animals were all so friendly and funny, especially all the cats that came up to The Coop and immediately fell into my partnerâs lap. We loved every moment of our stay and didnât regret a single second. If you ever visit, definitely bring some apples to feed the horses (and donkey!).
Enjoyed 2 nights there and we thought it was great. Very well appointed. Queen size bed was EXTREMELY firm but we both slept well on it. Loved the quiet and the beautiful farm and animals. Would definitely return and recommend. Great value.
