When I leave feedback on a rental property, my goal is to inform hosts on any areas that I feel could be improved on and give praise for things they got right. Also, I want to give future travelers my honest view of the property so there are no surprises. That being said, I will start by complimenting the host, Mr. Prosper. He responded promptly to emails and frequently checked in via email about our stay. The property was clean and the furniture was comfortable. The home is very convenient to downtown and is easy to get to. The home is situated where there are no homes across the street but what is on the other side is Interstate 81 so you will hear road noise from the trucks. It's not terrible but if you are a lite sleeper, it might be an issue. Some of the amenities that I have been accustomed to at other properties were not present. Simple items like tissues, house instructions including TV remotes, coffee mugs (only found 1), creamer, bottled water and quality toilet paper. I was also surprised to walk into a cold house, the thermostat was set to 65 on a 28 degree day. The house did warm up fairly quickly after the heat was turned up. Other surprises include ceiling light fixtures missing bulbs or bulbs burned out, large sections of crown and floor molding missing, exposed settling cracks in the ceiling and walls and a general "still renovating" feel in areas of the home.Overall this home serves its purpose and has potential to be a great property.
