Facility was VERY run down. My room (#186) had badly stained ceilings, paint chips through out the room, damaged upholstery on the desk chair, no coat hangers at all, several porcelain chips in the bathtub especially around the drain, no table clock, only one large towel and, most annoying, was a distinct odor of air disinfectant to cover, what I strongly believe, was a smoking room in the past. In addition the exterior corridors and stair wells were in terrible condition. Finally, when I arrived, there were 3 male attendants playing at the casino slot machines in the front lobby and it was about 2 to 3 minutes before one of them had the courtesy to come to the desk to check us in. My room was so bad that I checked out the next morning ( Nov. 14). The desk clerk, and subsequently, the management, REFUSED to give me a refund for the 3 unused nights. My experience was AWFUL.

Cockroaches everywhere including in the bed, people fighting loudly and doing drugs openly, was approached and asked for money several times, and the younger man behind the desk who confirmed our noon checkout when we checked in knocked loudly on our door at 11. When we said "we're in here" several times loud and clear (unclothed and in bed) he barged in anyways to say we needed to check out, staring at us naked. We told him he himself confirmed our late checkout and to please shut the door and he kept staring at my wife and saying it's checkout time. I would never ever ever stay here again nor recommend this place to anyone else. We played music at the theater in town and were just trying to get some sleep, we did not cause any trouble nor make any noise whatsoever, and were treated like this after buying 4 rooms from them. Demolish the place, throw the whole hotel away, it's rotten.

The room was dirty, the sheets were not clean and it had a lot of cigarette holes, the toilet was leaking. We just decided to change hotel. I have contacted Hotel.com to get a refund since it was no other room available and the manager was not very helpful. He brought me other sheets and told me to contact hotel.com to get refund… very disappointed. I hope to get a refund for this 110$ wasted.

The entire facility is not safe, clean or welcoming. There were numerous run down vehicles that had clearly been sitting in the parking lot for ages. The clientele/guests were shady. The areas and rooms where not clean. We ended up not staying their because we did not feel safe

The breakfast was good the last motel 6 in Dunmore was worse. Not only did they not serve breakfast, they insisted we bring all laundry to the laundry room and put the trash outside in the dumpster and there was no housekeeping we cleaned our own rooms. Vending machines all were out of order.

We were given room 277 to stay in. When we walked in and turned on a light, bugs were crawling on the wall! The bathroom light wouldn’t turn on, and the ceiling was falling apart. If that wasn’t bad enough- there was blood on the sheets and an unknown brownish substance on the pillow. We did not end up staying and immediately left to go to another hotel. This hotel was cheap, we get that, but even a cheap room should be clean enough to not have bugs and bodily fluids on the beds! My child also broke out in hives after touching something in the room. Completely unacceptable. The hotel is refusing to give me a refund and Hotels.com is not helping either. Will not be using Hotels.com to book rooms ever again, and have already told the Health Department and BBB about the conditions at this location.

BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE. I honestly don't understand how there are any positive reviews of this "hotel". First off, it's not a hotel, it's a motel, one that resembles a pay by the hour one instead of per night. There was broken glass scattered along the corridors leading to each room, garbage everywhere and I cannot even begin to explain the filth of the bathroom, mold all over the shower curtain, ceiling and we put a towel on the floor and needed to wear shoes to not touch the floor. There were stains all over the towels and on the ceiling above our bed. The Wilkes Barre Inn and Suites is not an Inn, it's a roach motel that should be offered per hour not per night as the evidence is literally on the walls.
