We stayed for 8 nights, while visiting my son. The property was clean and fresh, with great beds and bathrooms (excellent hot water and water pressure!). The neighborhood was green and leafy and quiet.
However, the location was further from Edmonds (or any shops/restaurants) than I anticipated. We didn't hire a car, as my son was nearby and drove us whenever he could, but we soon realized that a car is absolutely essential here.
The access to the basement entrance was difficult, especially at night. The path was very irregular and the wooden gate had a broken paling, making it quite sharp.
Once inside, the light switch was on the opposite wall, so had to stumble across the room to turn it on. The lights flickered whenever the coffee maker or disposal were turned on! The disposal stopped after our first day.
While the area seemed to be extremely safe, I was very perturbed by the fact that the sliding window in the second bedroom did not lock shut. A thin rod of wood was used to minimize the opening from outside.
Food on the counter immediately brought an infestation of ants, so everything needed to be kept in the fridge (which, by the way, had no icemaker or water filter). I had to clean surfaces continuously.
There is no control of the A/C (it is controlled by the people upstairs)! And speaking of them, we were kept awake until 1:30am on Sunday morning with noise!
Despite all the negatives, we managed to have a great week!
