A stone throw away from the Historical Discovery Park which hosts a summer Powwow, where you will find 5 miles of hiking, a beach and a Beautiful Historical Lighthouse!
Our Above-street location offers privacy enhanced by a gated fence!
This remodeled stand alone, single level 1943 built charming cottage is accessed by 23 STAIR STEPS from the city sidewalk therefore not suitable for our ADA community or anyone with mobility issues.
The front yard offers a bench for your morning coffee, the private backyard is for quiet moments, listening to the birds and watching wildlife!
Our yard supports and promotes an organic and natural environment for wildlife pollinators including solitary mason bees!
We ask that you do not feed any wildlife animals from raccoons, to rabbits,squirrels and various birds.
The vintage 2 bedroom cottage with one bathroom has an open floor layout for the living room, dining and kitchen area. Kitchen has basic cooking supplies for cooking meals, coffee, tea and cookies!
Cozy and perfect for couples, solo adventurers, writers, business travelers, and families with kids, (our cottage is not childproof).

Our place is well loved and reminiscent of cottages that once surrounded Fort Lawton. We only hosts one guest/group at a time and is not shared with anyone during your stay.
Our vintage cottage has character as it has settled through time.
Our neighbors are all year round residents. It's the perfect base for memorable hikes and strolls to the beach, the bluff and Salmon Ladder on the Ballard Locks. It's about 10 minutes drive to downtown Seattle.

Grocery is only 2 blocks away, a leisure 5 minute walk! Public transit is next to the grocery store.
We are an easy 10+ minute taxi ride to Downtown, Pike's Place Market, South Lake Union, Fremont or University District!
North Magnolia is bordered by The Ballard Locks and Salmon Fish Ladder! South Magnolia is bordered by Pier 89-91, where the Alaska Cruises embark to and from.

Very clean, cozy cottage that was perfect for our weeklong getaway. The gardens are beautiful. Walking distance to Discovery Park and only a short drive to downtown Seattle. Lauren, the host, was responsive and lovely to work with.

Lauren was a great host. Very responsive and helpful. Fresh baked cookies when we walked in were excellent. The place was exactly as described. Very quiet and cozy. The neighborhood is very charming with close by shops and friendly people. We will definitely stay at the cottage again.

Wonderful, Cozy Cottage at an excellent location! Very quiet neighborhood with street parking. One block (walking distance) to a huge park with many hiking trails. And also close to downtown Seattle. Cottage was immaculately clean, with comfy beds and everything you need to feel at home. With its inviting front porch area and it's adorable back yard for privacy, you really don't want to even leave this amazing place!

Magnolia Cottage

This is our second time staying in Lauren’s darling home. The place is located in a very nice little neighborhood with a market within walking distance. We enjoyed coffee every morning on the back patio with a beautiful view of the garden. We will book again the next time we are in Seattle! Great communication from Lauren. Thank you!

This place was great and the host was very communicative. The house had everything we needed (dishes, pans, plenty of towels). I love the grocery store being right down the street and the bus stop to downtown as well. I rented a car but rarely used it. The backyard was especially beautiful and lovely for morning coffee. The only negative thing was I would say the house is not very accessible if anyone has trouble walking. The house is up a very steep hill from the store and bus stop, as well as having stairs. There are rental scooters but they also had trouble going up the hill. Besides that, the location was perfect.

Perfect Getaway

Cutest spit in Magnolia

We had a great experience renting from Lauren. The house was perfect for our family of three. There were fresh cut flowers, coffee and comfortable bedding. The back patio was darling and we enjoyed mornings out there with our coffee. the kitchen is fully stocked and there is even a washer and dryer if you need. We will stay here again when we return to Seattle.
