Good location. Very responsive host. We had 14 folks staying at the house for a long family birthday celebration weekend. I worried about three bathrooms with that many people but it was fine. Lots of seating and space for cooking, playing games and conversation.
We had a great time! There was tons of room for all of the families. We enjoyed all of the living areas on the 1st and 2nd floors. It has an interesting layout but it worked well for our group. Thanks again
Very large house with lots of room. The main floor had a great living area with couches seating 9 people. There are two very long tables that each seat 8. The pool and pickle ball court were great! The house needs serious cleaning on the outside - front door was covered in dust and cobwebs, windows were all very dirty on outside ruining view of river, outside patio areas behind house were full of leaves and dirty. Pictures of river sitting areas are not up to date ... only deck way above river remains but again, is not cleaned enough to be enticing. Inside is clean enough but needs some maintenance. Owner did mention that house has been rented all summer so its hard to get in to do that. Kitchen was large and had lots of plates and pots/pans. Showers had no amenities so bring body soap, shampoo, conditioner.
The house is very large and provides many different areas for groups to sit and visit. The lake is low low because of work on the dam. We were not able to enjoy the lake. The swimming pool is wonderful. We spent many hours at the pool and the children really enjoyed it. The number of bedrooms made sleeping arrangements very easy. The house could use some TLC. For the cost, it was a good deal.
We enjoyed the spacious house . The kids loved the pool and we enjoyed having a lot of seating are to gather as a family! Great place for large crowds!
The place has a lot of potentialâit's spacious and has everything you need in the kitchen. The owner met us on check-in, which was a first for me, as I rent a lot of places. This was a retreat, and the adults were inside assigning bedrooms when we arrived. The next day, an AC technician arrived to check on a âbroken AC.â However, the AC wasnât broken, and I never received any notice that he would be coming. While I was cooking in the kitchen, a man appeared without warning. The young adults were still sleeping, and I had to ask him to wait before going upstairs to ensure my girls were dressed. Unfortunately, he did not wait and went upstairs anyway.Additionally, there were roaches on the bed, and the outdoor equipment was in poor conditionâdamaged, torn, and covered in bird droppings. The pool was clean, but the area around it was not well-maintained.Overall, the place has great potential but is outdated and in need of better care. Iâm sorry to leave this review as it's my first negative one, but I wouldn't recommend it as it stands.
Overall the house was great! We really enjoyed the amenities, like the pool and pickleball court. I would say the beds were very comfy minus the firm pillows. The outside needed more cleaning up, but the inside was very clean.
The property easily accommodated our group. However if you have a large group, there are only 3 bathrooms. This made showering and getting ready for our outings a bit stressful. The students loved the pool, river, and the billiards table.
The property was as advertized. It was very spacious and with many rooms to accommodate our family. Our host was very informative, and prompt to answer any questions we had. The kitchen was filled with pots, pans and utensils for all our cooking needs. The main family rooms had plenty of updated seating where we played many games and enjoyed the billiards table, which i would consider an upgrade or repairs. Unfortunately there is no first floor bathroom, but the elevator was very helpful to gain second and third floor access. The pool was not cleaned, however the season was not in our favor and our host did state it's reason. I'm just not to fond with it's location across the street and slightly out of eye supervision. The river was at a low which was also stated, however the fishing was still great. Our son caught and resealed several 36" mud catfish. The canooing was also great. We would have liked to enjoy more outside gatherings on the patios but the seating was dirty and very worn. There was much leaves on the ground that we would have appreciated could have been removed prior to our visit We extremely enjoyed grilling and cooking marshmallows on the second floor fire pit, providing some fire wood would be a plus Over all, our stay was memorable and fun. It is just 30 minutes from San Antonio where we were able to visit our son and our new born grand baby. We will definitely look into booking again in the late summer season.
We had a great time. After our mother passed away five years ago from Alzheimer's/Dementia we decided to get together every year in October in remembrance of her and our father. This is our reunion was to be held in Corpus but due to unforseen issues with the property we had to scramble to find another place. Checking hours, and I do mean hours, to find something that would house 18 adults, a pool, and
Lots of spaces for each family to have a comfy bed
As expected from presentation.stayed here for a wedding and all family had a cozy bed to sleep in in their own private rooms. Water is low due to city dam renovations. House is cozy, and pool is nice, and across the street. Decking and outdoor cushions could use some TLC.
The house was amazing lots of room for everyone. Kids had the entire downstairs as a play room. The beds were comfortable. House was beautiful and the owner was so great answering any questions. Water was low when we went but we enjoyed our stay and the pool. Close to in town shopping with amazing little shops. We will be going back once the water is back up.
House had plenty of room for the 8 to 12 of us! A little too big actually. We loved it though! Everyone had a Great time! Wish the river were higher it looks like it has been a long time since itâs been low. Which is really sad!! The pool is Wonderful! At first we wondered where it was. It was comical actually! Itâs across the street and itâs all yours! We went to New Braunfels which isnât far and floated the Guadalupe River. My daughter went sky diving in San Marcos. Their was plenty of room to spread out and hang out or go do things. We hope to come backđŻâŒïž
Randy came right away to help with a clogged toilet, and stayed in touch with us to be sure all was well. The only complaint I, personally had, was the lack of water pressure in the showers, but it wasn't enough to dim our family vacation trip.
We went for a family trip with our kids, grandkids, & parents. The pictures online arenât exactly what you get. Inside & out. There was food crumbs including chips on the floors in multiple bedrooms. Two rooms had dirty bed covers. One appeared to be small area of vomit. After I cleaned the house & washed the bedding we had a nice time. I do believe I should be refunded part of the cost. Jenny
Wonderful time was had by all 18 of us! Great layout for the teens to be able to hang out separate from the adults when needed. Plenty of comfortable beds and linens! Great communication with owner. Pool was immaculately clean, fishing was fun from the bank! Highly recommend!
We loved having plenty of room and seating for our large family gathering. The outdoor spaces were amazing and a great location for accessing city and outdoor fun. The property manager was super responsive. Only three bathrooms was tricky but the owner said another bathroom is coming soon.
