The room was clean. The resteraunt was open and has good food. The staff was great it was the same gentleman that checked me in that brought us 2 extra pillows. He also ran the resteraunt. If you going to be staying in Selby this is the place to stay.
We had to have the manager let us in our room when we would come back, but I understand that he is waiting for all new locks. He is a very nice guy, we enjoyed talking with him.
The place was good for a quick stay. The beds were horrible and the a/c unit loud along with road noise. The check in guy was nice and helpful but we didn't get a key to our room, he had to let us in anytime we needed tobget in, that was unsettling.
Desk clerk charged me for the room after I told him I had a room reserved for me through hotels.com. It took a bit, but was fixed. Last visit and this one, I was in the same room - no Kleenex available. Other than that all was good.
had reservations for 2 nights week of 4th of July, showed up and was note on door saying place was closed. Never got email, text, or phone call saying they had closed. Had to drive back 40 miles to where we stayed the night before. Not impressed.
I would have liked the opportunity to stay there, however they were out of business when we arrived, no text or email to let us know. There was 1 other motel in the town and 1 room left. It wasn't the greatest motel, but at least we had a room.
Good reception, very friendly. Breakfast (7.30 am)only 2 slices of bread with jam. Coffee but no tea available. No seats or table at breakfast. Good meals at the restaurant in same building. Why not reserving some tables in the restaurant for breakfast?
