My adult sisters and I left at 9 pm. We just couldn't stay. Just after we got to the unit, a man walked in through the emergency exit door with no knocking or anything, throughe the center on the unit and out the main door. Less than 10 minutes later, a man let himself in the front door of the unit without knocking. I called out, "this is not ok!" and he apologized and left. When we tried to go to bed, then slats that supported the mattress in one room kept falling down.We were afraid to sleep there because you can't secure the doors from the inside and we weren't sure the one bed was stable. I deserve a refund.
Adorable decor, comfortable beds, nice bathroom all with period fun references. Neighborhood walking distance to all historic parks and Seneca Falls sites. Owner very helpful and kind. They are doing a lot of work on the property which did not interfere with us at all, but it will be exciting to see what more they do with this really cool property.
We loved our stay here at this cozy location! It is clean and fit our needs for a place to stay. Pet friendly, which is a major bonus when vacationing, and reasonably priced. The town itself is charming with dog friendly outdoor eating options. The host was easy to get ahold of and was very helpful in recommending places to go. He has notable locations listed already, but he answered our questions. We are hoping to revisit!
Apartment is beautifully furnished and clean. Love the restoration of this old home. Pictures and descriptions are accurate. A fun and charming town very close by.
This is a cute place right in the heart of Seneca Falls. Walking around town is super easy and itâs also great access to the Finger Lakes. The steps up are a little steep and my husband (who is 6â4â) had to watch his head on the steps. This place is beautiful even under construction - I canât imagine how gorgeous it will be when itâs done!
This was the cutest, most well decorated VRBO we have ever stayed in. Super clean. GREAT location. As fellow restorers of an old house, I would also like to say that they are doing a great job with their restoration.
We loved the historical apartment and enjoyed that it was close to the water and downtown area. The owners visited with us when we got there and gave us some recommendations of what to see. They also told us about the history of the house and the town.
This place is an adventure. John is doing a fantastic job of restoring the charm that at one time characterized this building. But there is still a lot of work going on and you have recognize that this a work in progress. Overall the apartment was spacious and suitably furnished, Communication was good and John promptly addressed any issue that arose. Also be mindful that access to some of the apartments involves climbing one or two staircases.
A short walk to most attractions and restaurants. However, it is located near the corner of a major trucking route. Truck traffic rolls through ALL night. There are multiple steps up to the outside door in addition to the 12 steep, narrow steps to the apartment. The bannister is loose and becoming detached from the wall. Dishes had not been put away. Bed was comfortable, but lighting is inadiquate to read or play games in the evening. There are far too many pieces of furniture in the apartment, yet there is not a single comfortable chair. It was clean, but it is overpriced for what it is...
Took my two teenaged daughters for a weekend in Seneca Falls. The host was super helpful and gave us info on things happening in the area we hadnât known about. Great communication! The apartment itself is very cute, love the decor. It was clean and comfy. Plenty of space for sleeping, but not much hanging out space. The built in heating system didnât seem to work but there were portable heaters. As other reviews mention there are stairs.. narrow and steep ones! Not a problem, just be prepared! The one thing that I didnât see in other reviews is that the apartment is immediately adjacent (with a translucent door) to one of the bathrooms in the main house.. and since itâs an old house.. you hear everything! Also know that the entry stairs also are shared with another apartment upstairs so you arenât scared when you hear someone coming up the stairs at 10pm! Location is wonderful! We didnât end up walking too many places, but you definitely could walk to all the places on the main strip of town.
We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is in the center of town and is clean and comfortable. Property Manager was friendly and helpful.A good place to stay for exploring the beautiful Montezuma wildlife refuge and Audubon site.
We enjoyed our stay in this apartment in a historic home. It is under renovation, but no disturbances during our stay. It is cute, and met our needs. We used the kitchen to prepare a light supper and breakfast.Harry was a delight to talk to
This apartment is super cozy, adorable, and comfortable. There are many cute details regarding the decor; the kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms are well appointed and the beds are comfortable as well. We walked to a restaurant for dinner and for coffee in the morning, although there was coffee and tea available in the apartment. The house is on a main street but the apartment is in the back and to the side - it was very quiet over night. Highly recommended - a million times better than any of the local hotel options. Tip: bring a laptop or iPad if you want to watch tv and be prepared for a pretty steep flight of stairs. Five stars all around!
This apartment is super cozy and so close to downtown Seneca Falls that we were able to walk all over town! John & Sven were so accommodating and helpful. Will definitely stay again if we come back to town!
Wow. What a great place, so charming and outfitted with nice linens/towels etc. Very understated with nice art throughout. We loved the center of town is essentially out the front door. But off a block thatâs quiet. Lots of places for walking our pup including off-leash areas. Looking forward to another visit where we can actually spend more time in this charming town and all that it offers.
The host was so responsive any time we had a question. Very helpful. What a great recommendation Cafe 19 was for early morning coffee and pastries. We did this instead of making it on the apt as we needed to get an early start to complete our xc journey.
Myself and two friends stayed overnight for a board exam. The hosts were very friendly and answered their phones within a timely manner! They greeted us when we got there and made us feel very welcomed. Iâd definitely stay again!
Beautiful historic home near downtown Seneca Falls and the Womenâs Rights Historical Park. 2 comfortable bedrooms, kitchen, & bath. It is an upstairs apartment, so know youâll need to carry your stuff up a set of stairs. Sven graciously carried ours up as we are ladies of an advanced age. John and Sven are very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this property!
Place was overall in good condition. I would think about adding TV's in rooms in the event a rainy day and people need to stay in. Also I would put fans in the bedrooms as the air condition in the kitchen only goes so far. Owners were nice and otherwise no issues.
Very cute and clean. It says 2 bedroom and literally these are 2 bedrooms and kitchen with dining nook. So if you are thinking there is a living room - there is no living room. This was not a problem for us but some guests may be thinking there would be a couch or so that could sleep another person and there isnât. The apartment fits max 4 people.
It was a nice place but doesn't have a t.v. its just 2 rooms and a kitchen and a bathroom. Would have given better if there was a tv. And there was no washer or dryer. Otherwise it was a nice stay
