Drive for 11 hrs to arrive at 1030pm w my teens and dogs, only to find out that the cabin was not cleaned, and that the water pump went out. Things happen, but the owners’ actions ate what are unacceptable.I own a hotel in S FL and if I had guest that had prepaid months in advance I would make sure that I found alternative accommodation for them, for at least the first night. This was not the case, they simply said sorry the water is off and we will cancel you reservation. It is 2 days after Christmas and we are 13 hrs from home and that’s what we got when we called. Well actually they didn’t answer my call, they answered a call from my wife’s phone. They told us they looked all over for a solution but found none, so just left it. They continuously put us on mute to talk to “mgt company” after they told us they were the owners. In 5 min I found a hotel that would accept the pups. I told them I would give them a chance to do the right thing and at least call the hotel and pay for 1 night. They refused. Citing that their “management” team was unable to do that. We asked to speak to this management team, but they were not available, so we can speak to the owner but not the property manager? Given plenty of opportunities to call my cell phone, send me an email, NO they just let us show up to a filthy unit w used tampons and toilet paper all over. All they had to say was we are sorrry. When given the chance to make it right by finding us accommodations, they simply were too
