An absolute gem of a hotel. Yes - One star but I have stayed in a lot worse 3 start hotels. I cannot believe this has a One star rating! Close to bus station so handy for airport bus, Hotel Madrid is just 15 minute walk from the busy riverside area too and then just a few minutes more to the main sites. A fabulous English pub - The Merchant is just a few yards away too. Fantastic service from the staff and a great little basic breakfast served to to you personally each morning that sets you up great for the day. Yes the staff do not speak much English but this was no problem. Hotel Madrid is a great budget hotel with clean, warm rooms, great shower and just perfect for a couple night's stay! Recommend!

Excellent location for sightseeing, close to bus stop for airport & all main attractions. Helpful hotel reception for pointing out main places of interest on map & bus info for transport back to airport.

Great local

well located, easy to reach from the bus station, we easily walked everywhere. hotel is in quiet narrow street, very clean rooms, comfy bed lovely french windows and little balcony with pretty view. Bathroom good, toiletries provided, plenty of hot water shower ok but not very powerful. No safe deposit box in room but reception were happy to keep our passports in the hotel safe. Had a great 5 night stay and will book here again.

Huone oli pieni, mutta riittävän kokoinen meille. Huone oli siisti. Huoneemme oli kadun puolelle ja näkymät olivat oikein hyvät. Sijainti oli hyvä.

Un kit café / thé serait la bienvenue. Une poubelle dans la chambre également. Mise à part cela , cet hôtel est très bien tenu et mériterai une étoile. Très bon séjour de 3 nuits. Je le recommande.
