My stay at The Westin Bund Center, Shanghai was very pleasant thanks to its convenient location close to major attractions and shopping areas. The staff was excellent—exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always helpful whenever I needed assistance. While the Deluxe Suite was spacious and comfortable, the décor felt slightly outdated and could benefit from a refresh. Overall, it was a good stay with outstanding service and an unbeatable location.

After looking at pictures of the hotel was expecting it to be exceptional, but unfortunately this was not the case. The service from staff was adequate but not amazing compared to other hotels in a similar price range. An exception was one young woman servicing the breakfast who provided great customer service. A key letdown was the room itself, which was dated, dark and did not seem to be that clean, particularly the furniture and carpets. The floor in the bathroom and shower was slippy - though there was a sign that identified this to be the case. The location is convenient to access two Metro stations Yuyuan Garden and East Nanjing Road and is within walking distance of the Pearl River area.

1. We arrived 3:45pm (check-in time starts at 3:00pm) and we were told that our room is not ready and we have to wait. 2. I paid "City View" and we got a room on 6th floor and the only view we had was the wall of the opposite building.
