Hotel was obviously rehabbed in the not to distant past and appeared well maintained. It is time for some new fixtures though. Faucets and such were a bit crusty. AC quit a couple of days in but was fixed when I returned the next day. Maid service only made the bed and replaced towels. I was hoping for clean sheets.

The two staff I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The room was mostly clean- the coffee maker had old water in it and the tray it was sitting on hadn’t been cleaned and smelled. The cloth shower curtain smelled musty, like it had not been allowed to dry properly. I didn’t use it, but the pool area looked clean. It’s not far from Road America and easy to get to which was convenient.

I understand that this is not a 4 or 5 star facility, we picked it for location and just a night of sleep after a long day of travel. However it is advertised as a Hotel and Bar. When we checked in at a little after eleven PM, we asked if we could get a couple drinks to take back to our room. The desk clerk was not busy, in fact was smoking outside when we got there. She politely told us the bar was closed at eleven. The bar adjoins the check in desk. The "bar" is not much bigger than a good sized man cave. It would have taken virtually zero effort to treat us like we were coming home, and throw a couple drinks in a cup. Instead, we had to put our things in our room and then walk to the bowling alley for a nightcap. Sometimes not performing a simple no cost gesture that would take a minute or two becomes the most memorable part of the stay. Is that what management really wants?

Dirty. Room smelled like urine. When I notified staff, they handed me a spray bottle to pray in the room for the smell. Did not offer another room or anything. Felt unsafe when entering hotel. A lot of people just hanging out outside the hotel.

These beds are awful. They are rock hard. The walls are paper thin, was left with no toiletries, tv did not work and no wifi. I left and was not refunded or anything

The hotel is old and has been updated a bit but is still quite dated and doesn’t inspire a feeling of real cleanliness. It’s fine, but not much more than that. It was very reasonably priced .and had availability when others in the area had none
