Rooms are aging. Refrigerator and air conditioner had not been turned on. Safety lock on one of the two rooms didn’t lock. Coffee machine in lobby was broken.

Not as good as it used to be

This was our 3rd stay at Der Ruhe Blatz Motel and sadly will be our last. The best feature was the bed. It was very comfortable!! The room for the most part was clean but the surface on the desk and nightstand was sticky. Even after I wiped them down with an anti-bacterial wipe they were still sticky to the touch. Breakfast was marginal. Breakfast hours are 7 to 9am. Arrived at 8:30 and several items were out and not refilled. Also the concentrate bag for the orange juice needed replaced and the coffee machine was out of order. The young girl who checked us in on 7/31 night was very, friendly and helpful.

Somewhat disappointed

All the wood surfaces on the furniture were sticky. That may have been because it didn't seem like the air conditioner pulled any moisture out of the air. The bathroom exhaust fan was so loud we couldn't use it.

Best sleep ever.

Most sleep I have ever gotten in a motel room. I am used to a waterbed at home, so I always dread motel stays. This bed was so comfortable if I ever get back there, I am going to request the same room and hope they haven't changed anything!

Toilet flapper was broken so it would run unless you caught it. Shower sqealed but would still give this property high marks. Nice hotel and great beakfast. Front desk helped us find nice dinner options. Very safe and clean hotel.

Super nice little spot. We stayed overnight after a concert. Simple, inexpensive, comfortable beds, very clean. The decor is a bit outdated but we don’t care as long as it’s comfy and clean. Staff was nice and breakfast was good. We would definitely stay again when in the area.

I enjoyed my stay. It was a very quaint hotel and comfortable. Nice hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, juice, cereal. It is located near large Amish restaurants with excellent food and also several large attractions, antique and craft shops and bakeries.

Locally Owned - Clean - Near Blue Gate Theater

Nice, locally-owned, hotel. All the basics are provided including a desk, table & chairs, mini refrigerator, microwave & Coffee maker. Breakfast provided in the morning. Close to the Blue Gate Theater.
