To say the least, this was not my best Hotel experience. When I checked in shortly after 3p.m., I was told the system randomly assigned rooms. I was assigned an accessible room (disabled room) due to a volleyball tournament happening that weekend. As I was getting settled, there was a smell of cleaner that smelled like the horrible Lavender (purple) Fabuloso. I asked the front desk what do you all clean with. She directed me toward the Housekeeping staff. There were 3 ladies standing in the Business Center area and I stated you all must clean with that purple Fabuloso. I said it stinks and my room wreaks of it. So one Housekeeper said we can spray it with something the Hotel uses. I proceeded out to my car to get the rest of my things & when I returned, two of them had entered my room while I wasn't there. And one walked down the hallway with me to my room. Did it take all of them to remove a smell from the room? The entire Hotel smells like that and it stinks. Everyone can't tolerate those scents. Then when I got to the room and there was no door on the bathroom, I was done. In that "accessible" room, I wanted to take a sit down bath. That was not an option. I struggled using the handheld shower hose. It wasn't mounted properly where I could just stand & shower. Then at breakfast the juice container was out of order. Then when I went to check out, a housekeeper was knocking on my door & asking if I'm staying. She should know that. It's like I was being rushed to check out.
The room smelled like mold/mildew. The pillows sucked. There were only a few TV channels. The in room coffee maker was old. I was charged more than the booking price by over $20. There was no one at the front desk upon check-out. They had a piece of paper that stated if you want a receipt to leave your email address, which is very unprofessional in my opinion. There was also issues with the elevator and I have a handicapped person in my group.
Upon check in, the room has NO soap in the dispensers, NO working TV, and NO working phone to call the front desk. In fact, the phone cord was ripped out of the wall. We had to go back down to the lobby to ask about the TV and we were told the entire hotel didnât have a working TV. I pray we donât find bed bugsâŠ
