Nice staff, rooms nice and warm, stayed in room 101 TV signal on all channels had interference apart from that no complaints would definitely stay again.
Beautiful period building, manager so friendly and helpful! Staff lovely too. Very convenient to our needs in visiting Shrewsbury. Bed very comfy and wonderful ftreshly cooked breakfast. Will definitely go back.
This is the second time this year weâve stayed at st Nicholas boutique and it was just as good as the first time. Big shout out to Ash the owner who makes you feel so welcome. The room we had was so big and so was the bed. The breakfast was so nice. Were looking forward to our next stay in 2026 FANTASTIC
The room was clean and well equipped, but the room was freezing.
Cold wind was coming through the seal of the windows all night and letting all the noise in throughout the night
This is a unique hotel in an old church conveniently close to Shrewsbury train station, shops, restaurants, and attractions. Everything in the room was new and in good condition- the mini fridge with free refreshments was an appreciated bonus. Service was great, and personal.
Unfortunately the boiler broke during the stay which meant this hot water didnt come back on till 9-9.30pm and then took a while to come back through in the morning when turning the taps on. The team were really nice and apologised, offered a free meal but when I went down at 9pm everything was shut and didnt get a response from the number on the contacts to enquire how to claim.
The remote was broken in the room and nobody to advise but managed to get the TV on the same channel. No iron or hairdryer in the room so couldnt iron my clothes in the morning for work.
Stay would have been nice but couple of things just unfortunately made it not.
The hotel is very convenient for the station (5 minutes walk) - if you come by train since there is no parking available - and for the city centre (3 minutes walk in the other direction). Everything was good at the hotel with no issues at all. Breakfast was a bit unusual in that, only hot main courses were available (although delicious), but there were no cereals, fruit, toast, croissants etc.
Lovely hotel & friendly, helpful staff. However, room very airless, due to nature of the building (converted church), which i personally have difficulty with. Fan supplied in room, which helped. Also, overhead shower head a little low - my husband is 6â and couldnât get under it!
Overall, the hotel is lovely and centrally placed in Shrewsbury, so many pluses!
Hotel short walk from station run by young couple keen to make a difference. Oozes character, surrounded by historic architecture and fits right in. Cafes, restaurants, pubs close at hand with lots of shopping close to hand. I nipped down a nearby alley each morning to enjoy a great riverside walk to the park and home for breakfast.
Our room which was on the top floor and was lovely. Very quiet which we both liked.
The breakfast was excellent.
We must say it was very good value for money. We will definitely stay again.
What a wonderful and unique hotel. Right in the heart of Shrewsbury and with a warm welcome this was a great hotel. The room was clean, spacious and with a great stained glass window which gave the room loads of character. The owners were fantastic and made us feel very welcome and dinner was also superb.
Great location, welcoming staff, great food, superb room with amazing features. Nice a quiet and comfortable, just what we needed. Amazing place all round.
