Pest control issue

The hotel itself looked lovely on arrival — clean, nicely decorated, and generally welcoming. However, our experience was seriously let down by a major hygiene issue. We woke up in the morning to find dozens of flys and mosquitos on the ceiling of our room, which was extremely off-putting and honestly quite disturbing. This had not need noticed upon arrival as we quickly got ready to go out. If it had been we would have asked to change room. This completely ruined what could have been an enjoyable stay. For a hotel of this standard, we would expect basic cleanliness and pest control to be a priority. Very disappointed and unfortunately wouldn’t return unless we were assured the issue had been addressed properly. Currently scratching phone stop.

Lovely clean room with everything I could need including an iron and ironing board. Beautiful view of the garden and river from my window. Both the dinner and breakfast were tasty and well cooked, huge portions, you won't come away hungry.

Friendly staff

Stayed for 2 nights in a river view room. Whilst the room was on the small side this was not an issue as the view was amazing. Everything we needed was provided and the room was imaculate. Food was pub themed and very tasty. Staff were very friendly and we won't hesitate to return sooner rather than later.
