This Super8 is now a Wyndham property but it certainly doesn't look like one. While the room was clean and the beds comfortable, it's still the type of roadside motel where you'd expect to stay for half the cost. The lobby is ghastly, and the clerk on duty was sloppily dressed and didn't even stand up to greet us - or greet us at all other than to say "name?" And don't tell us to expect less in Alaska. I would avoid this unless the fove or six better places are full.

I was allowed an early check-in, which was fantastic in that I was in pain and needed a place to rest. The only down side was that I had some questions for the desk clerk and she was never at the front. I checked back 4 times within a foot hour stretch and no one was ever there.

Nicely located near downtown. Easy walking distance to Totem park, downtown, Castle Hill. Rooms/facilities were clean but old. Understaffed at the time we were there. WIFI is weak, minimal but adequate. TV is limited basic cable. Then again, your not in Sitka to watch TV! Price wise, listed price was $172 a night. I'm not sure how that ranks with other options. But I will probably look elsewhere next time.

Price was right, bed was good, maid service was non-existent due to Covid but we couldn't even get our garbage picked up. No offers of fresh towels, continental breakfast was kind of a joke - peanut butter was their idea of a protein and they usually ran out of food before the service was over.

Surprise! Room 209 had not been cleaned . We got a key to a messy bed and no towels etc. had to wait in “lobby” about 45 minutes for the crew to clean it. Surprise! No cleaning on the weekend, got-your-own-towels day. Surprise! Breakfast is 6-9, but at 8:50 the area had been cleaned up, and the front desk person had to bring back some food for us, while we waited. On the second day, they had run out of cream cheese (which came in a family-style container, which is not hygienic anyway).

The hotel is comfortable with the exception of thin walls. The Elks Club is next door and you could hear all the yelling and screaming from all the people obviously drunk! The room was ok but the bathroom was not very clean.
