Family members camped in nearby state park. We joined them for gatherings. Our house rental location was near by. The house was well equipped and very clean. We met the owner who was ver kind.
We had a lovely, quiet time at the River Loft Cabin. The upstairs had a fun typewriter with paper and lots of boardgames for a night in. The drive in was a little windy and on small roads, so I'd recommend making sure to head that way during the day and bring food with you since the town is so small and finding a bite might be hard. Truly a nature experience!
It was late when we arrived, so it was dark. The cabin is incredibly cute and comfortable. The smallest detail had been thought of. Kids loved the area in the loft! The next morning, we woke up to beautiful sunshine with direct access to the river. So peaceful and relaxing.
This lovely, quiet cabin by the Columbia was everything we'd hoped for: A river beach right out the door, nature walks through the woods just down the street, and the funky little grocery store (Yay, Bigfoot!) had the essentials we'd forgotton.
I loved curling up with a cup of coffee on the back porch watching the fog burn off the river in the morning.
We'll be back!
