The stay was okay but there were some things that were broken and not working. When we arrived, the door handle was falling off/not fully screwed in. It took a little bit to finally figure out how to get in. It also smelled a little like pee once we got inside the property. Half the lights inside didnât work, especially in the loft. The blinds were broken in the loft. Only half the jets in the hot tub worked as well. It was hard for two people to fully enjoy it. The hot surface light indicator on the oven was on during our entire stay. The door being broken was a big issue and we didnât fully feel safe. After telling the property about the door when we arrived and all the issues when we leave, they just said âwe hope you enjoy your stayâ. No comment of we are so sorry to hear that or any other comments.
The cabin overall is secluded and nice except for the expressway nearby but that really didnât bother us much. The biggest issue was cooking supplies. We visit the Red River Gorge to getaway. We usually cook at the cabin we rent. That was very difficult here, no baking sheets, no grill cooking utensils, scissors, spatulas, and several other things. Again, the cabin was nice but itâs not well stocked so plan ahead.
As advertised. Cabin is close to everything and not isolated, but at the same time there was enough privacy for the hot tub and to enjoy the nice deck. Steep switchback driveway, but my little Mini was able to get up when wet. Room and shower area was low lighting but manageable. Fire pit only roomy enough for the two chairs provided since it is in a corner. Only 1 set out of the 4 jets worked, but still was happy since the ones working did work extremely well and eased sore back after a day of hiking.
Very relaxing. Thank you for decent beds because that makes all the difference. Just fyi the second step was slippery. Looks like it cracked awhile back. A mirror near a window for the ladies. But even if you donât address these things, Iâd still stay there again. Loved the loft deck.
Inside was cute and cozy.I recommend bringing towels. We had 5 towels supplied for 3 nights- to shower and use hot tub for 4 people. We also only had 4 forks and 4 spoons for the whole stay for 4 people, so had to wash in between each meal. No washer and dryer on site.Hot tub was dirty. You can see & hear the road and neighbors when outside for hot tub and fire pit.
It was a cute cabin we did enjoy the hot tub and the cleanliness of the cabin and hot tub. We just felt it was nothing over the top and just an average stay. We also came after the ice, snow and felt that the property should have been maintained better with the porch being covered with ice and snow to get into the door and my husband actually fell down. Felt like communication about the snow and ice should have been communicated better instead of me asking and then arrive and it not just be parking issue but a issue leading into the cabin with all the snow and ice on the deck that you walk across to get in the door. Overall it was okay.
Cabin was very nice and clean. Could have used more towels and washcloths. There were 3 of us and only had enough towels for 2 people. We made it work. We went for a short overnight girlfriend trip. Two of three of us developed allergies while we were there. Being up in the mountains isnât for the weak or faint of heart!! Getting up to the cabin was a challenge. Itâs up the side of a mountain and is narrow. It looks like a goat path! I had a 4-wheel drive so I made it in low gear. Overall, we had a great time in the super cozy A-frame cabin on a hill!!
Only complaint is the AC couldnât keep up during the day. Other than that stay was perfect. Had a problem with getting in and they responded almost immediately.
Our first impression of the cabin wasnât the best, the key pad to enter didnât work at all, so we had to call the property manager. After we got inside the cabin, we found quite literally hundreds of dead and alive Beatles lying near the back door. Cleanliness was definitely the downfall of this cabin, the rugs were dirty the upstairs was super dusty. Also to note, the deck and railings around the cabin did not feel secure whatsoever, the electrical pannel for the hot tub is also expressed to the elements which seems less than safe.
The cabin is nice and has all the basics. There were only 3 forks and a few spoons available. There were 2 glasses We needed 4. The quilts and shams on the bed need to be washed . They smelled unclean and looked that way too . The hot tub was very nice . Good and hot.
One night stay. Great place to spend a night. Clean. Only drawback was the shower that was smaller and situated oddly. But, you can still get clean! Would come back again.
