Beach access is unavailable from this building's beach access stairs at the moment (the beach changes rapidly). The public access point should be used just to the north of the Topsail Reef HOA for beach access. This condo is in Building #7. At the moment, buildings #8, #7 and #5 have closed beach accesses. Other buildings within the HOA may have open beach access stairs which can be used at low tide.

We booked this rental for a 5 night beach getaway but unfortunately had to leave after just one night due to a very strong mildew and mold odor throughout the unit. While the place was clean and well kept in terms of housekeeping, the overwhelming smell was inescapable, and two of us woke up with noticeable allergy symptoms. As we’re aware this type of issue isn’t a quick fix, we made the decision to relocate.Another challenge was the lack of central air conditioning. The unit relies on portable AC units, which were loud and not effective enough to keep the space comfortably cool.Lastly, while the property is technically beachfront, direct beach access was blocked by sandbags placed along the shore to protect against high water. Guests have to take a detour to reach the beach, which wasn’t mentioned clearly in the listing.We would strongly discourage others from renting this unit until the odor issue is fully resolved and more accurate information is provided regarding beach access and cooling.

The location is near the fartherest end of the beach so there is very few people - meaning it was great for the kids to play without ever worry about too many people being around. The unit itself was in perfect condition when we arrived and the neighborhood was very quiet and relaxing to be in. We will def be looking into this location again for next years vacation. :D

Perfect Paradise

The Lazy Loggerhead was perfect for our family of 6. The property was clean and well maintained with everything we needed for our stay. Easy access to the beach and close proximity to the laundry room. Alan even sent messages throughout our stay and restaurant recommendations. Would absolutely stay here again. It was perfect!
