Amazing Location!

The location of the beach house is amazing! It is clean, well-stocked and super comfy! Everything you need is in the house! We had such a nice time and the locals are helpful and the food was great in the area. We would stay again!

Beautiful oceanfront retreat

The week we rented was during Hurricane and Tropical Storm Debby. Because of the home’s proximity to the beach we were able to time some visits to the ocean and beach. Also very thankful the property was oceanfront because we could watch the storm bounce around the waves!

We all enjoyed our vacation! The ability to get right back to the house from the beach was awesome. Our pups enjoyed the beach and water. The gates on the porches and walkways made it so relaxing with dogs. The kitchen was well equipped and made cooking there easy. We loved staying at Great Escape

A Truly Great Escape

A very nice home with the kind of details that turn an ordinary weekend into something special. VERY clean! Things such as bathroom essentials, nice stocked kitchen, dog toys and people toys, 2 coffee makers, and a beach view that was a serene delight. Wonderful family vacation at The Great Escape!

House was amazing with special touches from the owner. Flashlights for crabbing, chargers for electronics, a complete coffee bar with variety of flavors, many starter items, beach toys, beach chairs, high chair for our 1 year old grandson, pack & play. The owner really did a great job making us feel welcome at The Great Escape. Would highly recommend!

Just wow!

It felt more like a friends home then a rental. Looked just like the pictures, very well maintained and they had everything we needed. The house a whiteboard in the kitchen. We used it to plan our day and make a grocery list and play hangman. Plenty of beach chairs, toys and boards. The beach was great. About 100 feet down the beach was a turtle nest. We made lots of great memories and we want to come back next summary.

Perfect beach trip

We were pleasantly surprised with this beach house. They say it's small things that count! They left us little things to take home as welcome gifts. Theyy provided us with coffee , TP, detergent etc. We didn't need to go shopping the min we got in which was amazing. Ill give this property 5+ stars

THE best ocean front property we have rented!

We spent most of our time indoors and on the gorgeous decks (rented in Jan) in this fabulously appointed, very comfortable, well stocked beach front home. The owner's had EVERYTHING we needed for a week and a half stay...we truly wanted for absolutely nothing, including our Scotty dog--she was so spoiled with her own bed for each bedroom! We even saw dolphin pods very close in at least twice a day, and spotted a whale on one occasion. The ease of booking and house entry made things so relaxed for us to begin our rest in N Topsail right away, not to mention the owners being so gracious. Our family will most definitely be renting The Great Escape when we next vacation in the area!

One of a kind gem!

My family and I stayed at The Great Escape for Spring Break. The views of the ocean are breathtaking. I cannot recommend this home enough. The little things meant so much. The starter pack, the flashlights for crab hunting, the doggie toys, the inspirational message jar, oh my gosh the games, the books, the high bar chairs on the porch, the chaise lounge chairs, the beach toys and chairs, I could go on and on. We were pleasantly surprised with this home and cannot wait to return. The homeowners have obviously put so much thought in to making it a special place and it surely is! Aside from how beautiful the place is it was impeccably clean and comfortably with so much space and plush furnishings. Words don't describe it. It is a gem!

House Steps Away From the Beach

The Great Escape was clean. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of cookware. The beach was steps away with access from the house. Can't miss stay on Topsail Island

Can't say enough good things about our experience at The Great Escape. The property was beautiful and was exactly as described/pictured. Having stayed in 10+ beach rentals in the last few years, this was definitely the cleanest and best furnished. Lots of great little touches (like the fully stocked coffee station, paper towels, dish soap, etc) and very suitable for little kids. The location itself was a dream; located in a quiet private neighborhood that made it seem like we had our own private beach. Our only regret was not staying longer. We will be back.
