We just finished a wonderful stay at Lichenhearth 26 in Snowmass and couldnât be happier with our choice. While the complex itself is a bit older, don't let that deter youâthe unit was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and offered plenty of space for our group of four.The LocationThe convenience factor here is a 10/10.âą True Ski-in/Ski-out: You can literally ski right up to the back patio.âą Proximity: Itâs a mere one-minute walk to the Base Village lifts and the Sky Cab (Skittles) to the Village Mall.âą Essentials: A quick 10-minute walk gets you to the market for supplies.The ExperienceThe communication leading up to our visit was excellent. We did have a minor hiccup where our entry code didn't work upon arrival, but it was addressed immediately by both the staff and the owners, which we really appreciated.A quick tip for future guests: The unit holds heat very well! We were warned it can run a bit hot with the heat on, so we kept it off for the duration of our stay and were perfectly comfortable.Value ComparisonWe stayed at the Viceroy last year, and while that was a lovely 5-star hotel experience, we actually preferred Lichenhearth. You trade the bar, restaurant, and ski valet for more living space and better mountain access. For the significant cost savings and the added convenience, it is well worth the trade-off.We would absolutely stay here again!
