I booked this hotel for my grandson and his girl while we stayed at the Aspen. After booking our room Hotels.com was out of rooms at the Aspen. I knew they would love the Kenai River Lodge. While right on the road through town, it is also right on the famous fish river Kenai, and has a small bar area on the roof. It is an older rustic lodge and just perfect for my outdoorsy twenty-year-olds.
This hotel was primarily focused on fishermen and fisherwomen and it was still very nice for anyone to stay. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.
The room was small but the king bed was comfortable. There was a bath tub and shower which I love. It was quiet except for the bridge traffic. It was centrally located and close to everything we needed.
