This house was excellent for our women's hockey team playing a tournament in Dover. There were plenty of beds, the layout of the kitchen was perfect for gathering, the hottub and spa shower were a welcomed bonus after several games, the fire pit was the perfect place to relax after a long day.
Management company did not provide me with check in details until 1pm on the day we were to check in at 3pm and we had a 2 and half hour drive. Very stressed being given details at the last minute. Even though I reached out to them days before. The residence also had some issues. There are no large garbage receptacles for leaving our trash even though house manual said there were some. Trash and recycling had to be left inside the homes garage, so animals would not get it. The bunkbed room also had a ladder come apart due to loose screws and one of our grandkids were scratched from the screw while trying to get on top bunk. The movie theater room had a very pungent odor coming from the large fish tank. Only after using several plug in air fresheners could we stand to be in that room. The back deck awning was not usable because of a very large wasp nest that is in it. The grill on deck is very rotted and falling apart. When used and food cooks, the grease is just falling on deck from bottom of grill being rotted. Very slippery if someone walks on that spot after grill is moved to its storage spot. I would not recommend this rental due to lack of response from the management company. My husband called them to report all the issues and no one called us back.
I was really disappointed. The place was dirty / not as advertised. When I tried to communicate with the Property Management, I either got no help regarding my question or no response at all.
We booked this home for family visiting for a wedding. The group appreciated the comfortable rooms with nice private rooms, a bunk room, and a lovely large room with a beautiful window overlooking the wooded back yard. The group especially loved using the hot tub and the theater room!! It made their visit feel special and we appreciated the close proximity to our event.
Our bachelor party had a great time. The house was beautifully setup, plenty of space for 15-20 guys. Everything was clean. We didnt end up using the firepit or area around the Koi pond, but the sideyard was great for cornhole. My only gripe is about the Theater Room: the AV Receiver kept cutting out, and any streaming service would not load. Some sort of bad feed from the DirecTV box. I ended up going out and buying a Roku Stick so we could watch Happy Gilmore 2 on Netflix. Hooked it up to the receiver. It ended up being a highlight of the trip, so it all worked out.Overall, great experience.
Great house but a few drawbacks..2 of the beds advertised as queen size were actually doubles. No spoons at all in the whole kitchen. Live Hornets nest in the closed deck awning. Fish tank that looked like a dirty swamp. A/c in living room controls donât work. Manager doe not release access info until morning of first rental day.
The place was absolutely wonderful, exactly what you would expect from the pictures. We especially enjoying sitting out on the back porch and in the hot tub. With that said, a few things to look out for: - None of the AC window units were installed and many of the windows didnt have screens, so the house was 75F our whole stay - the walking paths were completely flooded and unusable, and while I recognize that is not the owners fault, a heads up would have been nice - we had some issues getting the projector in the theater to work - our biggest frustration was the lack of communication from the owner, we didnt hear anything from them until I reached out a few days before our stay to ask for more information about the house, any rules, check in info, etc. Even at that point they refused to give me any information until the day we arrived, and we finally got that information via a phone call a couple hours before our check in time.
