Beautiful grounds and comfortable rooms. The mineral pool is something special. You can tell how much thought and care the staff puts into making this an amazing place to stay, from the small touches in the rooms to the fun activities around the grounds. Front Desk Staff are very friendly and professional. Perfect spot for a relaxing vacation in wine country or a staycation if you’re local.

Beautiful grounds, beautiful lobby, beautiful and huge room. 2 problems. I was annoyed at being asked to pay $30 a night for self park on a $600+ per night room. Same with $10 for extra wood for the room fireplace. The big issue is noise. The grounds are large and very lush. They need constant maintenance and you can hear it all in the room. Early morning trimming and cutting everywhere. Plus when anyone ran the water, you can hear it very loudly in the old pipes. At one point I think there was a leak above because it went on for so long. I expect more for $600 a night.

Poor sound barrier between rooms

The walls are paper thin and we got a terrible couple next to us that made noise constantly from when we arrived and starting at 5:30 am. The hotel Manager was empathetic and said they would refund but it was a third party reservation. Hotels.com took care of this by contacting the hotel and working out a refund. This hotel needs a serious renovation for sound.

The housekeeping staff was outstanding. The check in and concierge staff were great. The bar staff was service was so terrible, we ended up leaving. Sat there for 10 mins, bartenders were behind the bar but didn’t acknowledge us.

Hallway floors in our building was in very poor condition. There was not adequate self parking space and we had to park on the street. SPA was nice, however the cold water dump was not functional.

A girlfriend and I stayed at the Fairmont Sonoma for 4 days and it was an incredible stay! We utilized nearly all aspects of their considerable property- the pool, the spa, the lobby bar, the firepits, the outdoor games, the restaurant. It was all WONDERFUL. Beautiful landscaping and friendly/helpful staff. It was peaceful, quiet and lovely

My stay was overall lovely. The restaurant on site was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Love that they offer complimentary transportation into town. The gym was a little bit dirty and unkept (spider webs on the equipment). I tried to make a spa appointment but the last few time slots got quickly taken as we were trying to set it up. But overall wonderful property and nice rooms!
