My dog, Henry, and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful cottage. Cindy went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. She even had toys, a bed and treats for Henry. The setting was exactly what I needed, peaceful, private and calm. There was a space for yoga so I could stretch after a long day of hiking. The Galloping Goose Trail is accessible right from the property. I highly recommend this location. Thank you Cindy for going the extra mile.
Absolutely the best experience. From the first day we stepped onto the property Cindy was ready to support us and from there on we didn't second guess our vacation
We had a wonderful stay here as a family. Plenty of room to spread out. Wonderful deck to sit on and we also enjoyed the trail which was easily accessed from the property. Easy drive to Sooke for restaurants and amenities. Owner was wonderful to deal with.
Enjoyed our stay in this cozy cottage, it was perfect for our family of five. Location was great for biking the Galloping Goose trail and exploring the hikes and beaches nearby. Cindy went above and beyond as a hostess and replied quickly to any questions. Hoping to come back again!
Super cozy and peaceful cottage in the forest. You can see and hear birds right from the windows or patio, and look out at the trees from your bed. The Galloping Goose trail is right outside and many other nice hiking trails are nearby. Living room and kitchen are cozy, and itâs nice that a washing machine and dryer are available
Had a fabulous stay. Beautiful spot in the forest and next to the Galloping Goose Trail. Our hosts were really responsive before and during our trip. Definitely recommend!
A beautiful location. The driveway is tricky to find the 1st time but the host provided good instructions. The bed in the master bedroom is f8rm. The other beds are softer.
I stayed here with my parents (70âs) and niece (22). My niece lives in Vancouver so this was a family visit to Vancouver Island to see her. We wanted to stay somewhere a little more quiet and secluded, not in Victoria. The location was perfect for us. Just outside the town of Sooke with easy access for shops and restaurants. And close to a lot of parks for hiking. It was also just a 45 minute drive to Victoria and Butchart Gardens, both of which we wanted to visit. The cottage was perfect for us. We each had our own bedroom. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, we made breakfast each day and grilled local fish one night. The deck was great, we had happy hour out there and enjoyed the view! And the best bonus was thereâs a path for walking literally out the back door.If you want something a little more nature focused and out of the hustle and bustle of the city, this is a perfect place to stay!!
Our group (two couples) really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Check-in and communication with Cindy was a breeze. The cabin was comfortable for four adults, with two bathrooms and enough space to comfortably hang out in the living room together. The kitchen had basic equipment for cooking and a few essential pantry items like salt and oil. The view through the woods out to the water was beautiful. The hosts live on the property but we never bumped into each other. Location is great for exploring Sooke or any of the nearby parks, and the property is right on the Galloping Goose Trail. One downside to mention is the beds. The upstairs queen was extremely firm; as a back sleeper I didn't mind, but my partner is a side-sleeper and struggled to sleep the first night. He ended up sleeping in the bunk bed room for the rest of our stay, which he said was much more comfortable. Our friends stayed downstairs on the softer mattress, which they described as so soft it was almost concave and pushed them both into the middle of the bed. Some people might like that, but our friends weren't big fans! Just something to be aware of. We would all still happily stay here again and recommend it to others!
The property is in the perfect location for those who want to explore beautiful Sooke wilderness. My granddaughter, daughter & I biked to Sooke from Vancouver. The house is right on the Galloping Goose Trail. We enjoyed the fact that we had 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and that there was a wood burning stove and a well equipped kitchen. We will recommend your place to our friends and hope to return for another visit. The hosts are super nice as well.
