Lots of room to spread out, but several things were not working. No Wifi which means the very nice TV was not very useful. Also the water for the refrigerator was not hooked up so no ice. The stovetop also needs some work.
Very disappointing. Unkempt exterior, electronic lock did not work on day one. The stove had to be pulled out in order to connect to electrical socket just make coffee. No coffee maker so we had to buy a coffee maker. Some areas had poor repairs. Although interior was relatively clean bedding was old and dingy. But most importantly there was no internet which caused us to cut our stay short. The neighborhood is scary looking. I do not recommend this property.
Overall the house is very nice and they did a nice job with the remodel. The biggest frustration was communication. When we arrived there was no information provided such as wifi connection info, check in/out process, local spots, etc. The wifi did not work, and thus neither did the TV. I reached out and received a response the next day with a network that didn't exist and a password that didn't work on any of the available listed. I reached out again and again didn't receive a response until the next day. There were also a few things that were broken (stove top burner, dishwasher top drawer, pool cues, etc.). I did provide a list of concerns to the owner, but never heard anything back. It has the potential to be a nice place (in an ok area) - the backyard is really unusable - but needs a few fixes.
Inside of the house was very clean and spacious. Kichen was very clean, bedrooms were clean and spacious. Outside of the house were not cleaned but I was satisfied with the house.
Overall our stay was great. The inside of the house was perfect for our large group. The outside could use some cleaning up. Plenty of parking and short drive to ND. Neighborhood was little sketchy but we didnât feel unsafe at all. Marion was super easy to communicate with, responsive to all my messages. We would stay again.
Check in was a breeze and the home is divided into 2 âwingsâ so the 2 families had their own space at night.
I will say the neighborhood was a bit run down, but at the same time we mostly just stayed in and caught up with friends (we drove from Michigan and they drove from Chicago)
Overall the place fit our needs and we had a good time.
We stayed at Marion's place with our family and friends (6 adults, 8 kids, ages 1-5) for reference. Marion was very quick to respond and extremely helpful. Marion's house is a bright light in a dark neighborhood. The draw to Marion's place was the 5 bedrooms. The house is divided into 2 separate upper floors, one side with 3 bedrooms and the other side with 2 bedrooms. The house is newly renovated and simple. Everything interior was as described, and easily fit our group.
The bad part... it is in a terrible neighborhood. This is nothing Marion can control, just something to be prepared for. The kids did not leave the house. Lots of condemned homes, and cars with loud exhausts. Obviously, we were okay with some level of risk, just look into the SBPD crime rates to see if this is the place for you.
