Condo was wonderful. Very comfortable and well situated in building. Beds comfortable, amenities great.Would definitely stay again. Only cons: My preferences only: showers have no pressure, but that is a usual with most hotel rooms and condos. Also, maybe make the code to get in front door a little shorter?? Was kind of a hassle with that.

Find another condo

Find another condo, and dont use vacasa homes. Issues from day one and tons of message to vacasas care center with nothing done about anything. No pressure master shower, no wifi, no cable, pool not heated, hot tub no heat just bubbles, no dvd player, games all missing pieces, smoke detector died in night started chirping. Was told pool and hot tub can be heated for cost… cost to pay to heat the entire condos amenities it’s shared by the entire complex, plenty other places to rent so I’d go there instead

Great Location

Condo was a great size for our family of four. Had everything we needed. The pool and hot tub were a nice amenity. Access to the beach couldn’t have been better. Disappointed in the construction going on and we weren’t given a heads up on that. Kinda ruined the peaceful atmosphere unfortunately. Made it tough to sit on balcony and enjoy the ocean side.

Girls trip

We had a wonderful stay at Sunside II. The location was absolutely perfect. It was just steps from the beach. The condo was clean and the air conditioning worked great. And the neighbors were quiet and friendly. Only complaints we had were that the tvs and cable didn’t work in the living room, we needed more toilet paper, and we couldn’t park the golf cart we rented for the week on the premises. Other than that we had a blast!

The property was very clean. The decor, furniture, bathrooms, kitchen appliances are dated but functional The outside balcony has a direct view of the Gulf. Elevators were fast. Short walk to restaurants and shopping. The Vacasa app was very helpful. We would rent again.

Beach Trip

A perfect on the beach condo. Balcony had awesome views of the gulf. Make sure you read instructions for checking in as numerous other guests had their vehicles towed. We had no issues with parking or gate codes. Kitchen was pleasantly stocked for our needs. Lots of room inside for a family to enjoy. After reading reviews, we knew to bring our own beach towels. We ended up renting chairs and umbrellas on the beach as there were no beach items in the condo. Beautiful place to stay right on the beach.

Beach time is the best time

We loved this condo. Everything was as it is described. Location was great and the beach was perfect. The condo was very clean and very spacious. Perfect family getaway. Would stay here again with no problem. The only things I would recommend.....bring extra washcloths and towels. They were limited to only 2 each in both bathrooms so we ran out quickly. And there is public beach access on both sides of the complex....so get down to the beach early before all the good spots are gone.

We were very comfortable at this condo. My favorite thing was the sunrises from our master bedroom window and listening to the waves. Loved the balcony. Would recommend a couple of beach chairs. Thank you home owner!

Location and condo as advertised. Wonderful balcony view of ocean with good beach access, nice hot tub and heated pool. Complex was peaceful and quiet and adequately furnished, must provide your own beach towels. Pool gate code we were provided was incorrect and took us 2 days to resolve. Would most definitely stay here again!

Older property . Easy beach access and great view. Clean condo and all necessities provided. Check it out then head to the Blu Marlin store nearby. Impressed cleanliness and maintenance of all of SPI. Enjoyable time . Definitely stay again.

Great condo on the beach!

We had a great stay! The kitchen had everything we needed for four days. Everything was clean. You will need to bring paper towels, toilet paper and kleenex if you're staying for more than a couple days. A few extra towels and blankets would have been nice, but we made do. The views from the balcony are amazing and master bedroom are amazing! Walking distance to a few stores and restaurants.

MN Christmas Getaway

We loved our stay! The condo was perfect for our family. We loved waking up right on the ocean every morning. It was sunny and 80 degrees every day. ❤️🌞 It is a bit windy, but it is a warm wind so no big deal. The pool was heated and lots of lounge chairs to relax by the pool/hot tub. I don't have any complaints, just a suggestion. We drove from MN so we were able to pack beach towels. But that would be my only suggestion for the "owners" - buy a bunch of beach towels (go to Goodwill) and put them in the empty linen closets. It is tough for people to pack beach towels, especially if you are arriving by plane. They take up a lot of precious suitcase space. And you could provide some beach chairs as well. We have done VRBO twice in Florida and both places always had plenty of towels, chairs, a wagon, cooler, etc... It just really adds to the VRBO/beach experience! The grills were pretty gross so we just ate out every night. Lots of great restaurants :Dirty Al's (get the fried shrimp!), Pier 19 (very busy get there early & huge portions so you might want to split your meals), Louies Backyard ($10 rib special Sunday & Thursday) Tequila Sunrise (nice outside seating and live music). If you want live music look up SPI music guide. 🎶 We went to the Gladys Porter Zoo, definitely worth it!! We tried to go to the sea turtle rescue but there were big lines both days we tried to go. But so many people told us about it. Bummed we never made it. We also did a Eco & Dolphin Watch tour which was OK. We did one in Florida that was really good, so I think we got spoiled with that one. If you haven't been on one though it was good for 1st time and nice to get out on the water. Overall, a great experience for our first time in Texas. It was VERY hard coming back to below zero temps in Minnesota. ❄️🥶 We loved our trip to South Padre Island! ❤️🌴🍹

This was a great place, perfect location on the beach. Condo was clean. There were only a couple of issues with the place itself not the condo we had. There is limited parking if you have 2 vehicles you will have to park far down the street away from the condo. We arrived on Weds and wanted to hang at the pool on the 1st day but the Pool was not completely filled and extremely low and staff didn't start filling the pool until that evening for the next day. Last day we had zero water pressure on the 4th floor, after calling, customer service stated that it was a city issue, we had to cancel plans for dinner on our last night because we couldn't take showers - water was available again after 9 hours, after 12am. I had requested a later checkout, for all to be able to shower and leave, and was denied even after receiving an email stating I could do a late check out for an additional $40.

Need to get away

Great property and everything was as advertised. The view of the beach was awesome and access was simple. BYO Keurig cups. There is a machine as well as drip coffee maker. All needs were anticipated. WiFi is strong. No canopy/ tents in the beach before 9am (we set us at 8:30am to secure a spot). The gentleman that informed us was very polite about it. Recommend “Ocean Ocean” for souvenirs/ shirts etc. could walk there (about 1 block back to the main RD). Pier 19 was great for dinner. Get there early and expect to wait at least 45 min. Would pass on Daddy’s (5/10). Gabriellas pizza delivered and was awesome. I hope this helps you… !

The unit was super, had everything we could possibly need and nicely updated. The property, however is a bit rough and showing its age. Elevators worked occasionally, the pool area could use some attention as well. Overall, nice stay.

Merry Christmas to Our Kids!!!

This condo was perfect for our family of five! Excellent furniture for home movies and sports watching as well as dining in and playing games around the table. The kitchen was well outfitted for cooking holiday meals.. Best outdoor furniture of any condo we have ever stayed! Beds were firm but we prefer them so they were great for us. We will be back!!!
