This hotel is in a great location to walk easily around Split. The area was nice and they had a lovely garden in the back. The staff was so helpful. Maya checked us in and gave us great info on where to go, eat and what to skip. The air conditioning worked in the rooms which says a lot for rooms in Europe. We really liked it here and would definitely stay again.

We were shocked to be put into a room with a brown shag carpet. It was old and the air conditioning barely worked. We had to park in a public lot which was fine, but the area did not feel safe to me. Mostly I went into the room looked around and left, this was a very old property and I couldn't get passed the stained old carpets. Also tons of construction outside. The courtyard looked pleasant. I also made mistake and paid for two nights in advance and only needed one. I called 3 days earlier and they wouldn't refund me for the one night. So I never ended up staying at the hotel and paid for two nights.

The concierge was wonderful when we checked in. They explained where to park and assisted with luggage. They accommodated our request for 2 twin beds. The room was standard size for Europe and was very clean. Bathroom was a nice size. Breakfast was great! There were made to order eggs and coffee as well as a great spread. Location was walkable to everything! We had a great time!

Maja at reception was incredible She was extremely helpful with the check in, she gave us loads of recommendations, helped up with our ticket for parking which had become damp in the storm and even wished us well on our travels on the last night. The breakfast was lovely in the garden and the hotel staff were generally very accommodating

We had a 2 day stop over in Split before our trip to zagreb and slovenia and decided to stay at Hotel Marul based on reviews..Its a small hotel with limited facilities. More like bed and breakfast. Staff at reception and breakfast was good. Location is very close to major tourist spots which is a plus. Rooms r small and very basic. No points there. Overall an ok experience

We had the most amazing time at this hotel. Beautiful, comfortable rooms , strong AC, located in the middle of the historic district , walking distance to the best sights. A nice balcony was a bonus. Excellent breakfast in the garden. Staff members were so welcoming and helpful. Thank you hotel Marul - I recommend this hotel to anyone coming to a gorgeous city of Split .

Booked 2 nights with my wife and 2 kids but stayed only 1 night due to unsafe room. Stayed at one of the top floor rooms with terrace where they transformed the attic into a room with pitched ceiling. The problem is that the pitched ceiling is way too low and unsafe. The kids bumped their heads against the ceiling twice and both me and my wife bumped our head once. It is such a health hazard that it should not be operating as a guest room. The room is also dirty with hairs, dust and spots all over. The Hotel is located literally in a small back allay with dimmed lights and small front door. The hotel also refused to refund the 1 night that I didn't use due to unsafe room condition.
