Great location with easy access to beautiful beach walks and to the town centre. Had a lovely meal in restaurant and enjoyed comfortable rooms . I would try to avoid rooms at back which overlook the kitchen roof with noisy ventilation at times .Otherwise a lovely stay and would return.

The hotel's location is excellent, near town and sea, staff are professional and showers and toiletries are fantastic. We also enjoyed a lovely fixed price menu in the bistro.
It's pretty clean, though we spotted dust in a few places. However, rooms are ridiculously dark so it's hard to read and impossible to do make-up in there, and the bathroom mirror is behind a huge basin. Beds are huge though comprise two singles pushed together, so aren't hugely comfortable. Also, a non-functioning bedside lamp wasn't repaired despite us mentioning it, and the sticky book on Fife in the room (something spilled by previous guests) wasn't cleaned despite me leaving it out.
Most importantly, be aware that 'city view' actually means view of a large car park - and drivers can enjoy get a bird's eye view of you in your room! We swapped a large first floor room called Schubert (with a double window overlooking the cars) for a far smaller one called Lanson on the second floor. Despite seagull poo spattered all over the velux window on check-in, it was quieter and more private.
Overall, we had a comfortable stay, but it's the least exciting or chic Hotel du Vin we've stayed in, despite premium prices because St Andrews is crazily expensive.

Modern hotel in good location
From start to finish the staff were excellent. It's a nice hotel following refurbishment. Only downside was that our room 'Coyman' was quite small.

Stilvolles Hotel direkt am Meer
Eher kleine, aber sehr gemütliche und stylische Zimmer. Lage absolut ideal zur Erkundung von St. Andrews. Gerne wieder.
