This place was perfect for what we needed. He had a slight hiccup with HVAC in our first room then lighting in the second but excellent customer service. Would book there again.
It was essentially impossible to get housekeeping. The flat out refused to clean our room every 3-4 days (we stayed for 3 weeks), saying they prioritized ânew arrivalsâ. Thereâs no way to clean the room yourself, so you end up living in a dirty room. The entire facility is not services properly and the rooms have thin walls, so you hear your neighbours and the surprising amount of banging fire doors. If you stay there for a night or two, itâs not a bad option. If you stay longer, be prepared to be treated with ignorance.
As nice as the rooms are and clean itâs basically modern student accommodation in the middle of a housing scheme far away for anything least 5 min drive away. Felt like walking onto a modern high school campus to stay the night and overlooking a building site of further accommodation. Immediately checked out and lost moneys paid.
Had phoned the hotel prior to my visit to check whether my kids could come - I was advised yes they could however, they donât provide any cots. This was confirmed on the Expedia page for this hotel.
We then brought our own and was made feel unwelcome when we arrived and that âkids arenât allowed here - unless they are over 12, as this is student halls and the crying from babies may bother the residents, also keep them away from the social areas because there will be lots of drinking.â They did let us keep the kids there but âonly because it was one nightâ.
We then went down later on and asked the reception to phone us a taxi and one of the women rolled her eyes whilst the other responded by âhow many am I supposed to say itâs for?â And in all honesty - again just made us feel unwelcome and that we were a burden. Just seemed really unprofessional and left us standing there for quite a while before I eventually asked if there was a number she could give me to try myself as she just kept saying âtheyâre not answering, do you want me to just keep tryingâ.
Wouldnât recommend, and wonât be returning.
Great set up for travelling with friends, as each bedroom was connected to a main living space, but private entries to the sleeping areas from the halls. full kitchens, comfortable beds. Great residential type neighborhood that was still close to everything St Andrews has to offer.
Great stay! Comfortable bed, spacious room with desk and couch, with lots of storage. Very clean property in a safe neighborhood. Very accessible to downtown area. This is a gem!
A very new property with new fixtures and fittings. Access to the laundry was a bonus. On the flip side bed was a king single which was a bit small for two.downtown was a bit far to walk and parking was at a premium when we were there
The place was hard to find with no signs on the road. We drove past a building site only to find that was the hotel. The room was adequate though rather cramped and a good 20 minutes walk from the city centre.
Very good alternative to local hotels. Student accommodation but to hotel standard.
No restaurant on site, but vending options available.
20 minute walk into town.
Canât fault it and would definitely recommend.
When we arrived we were very surprised that this place acts as an over flow for the college students. We were very lucky it was during the summer so was quiet.
The room itself was fine, bed was a little uncomfortable and two thin pillows didnât make the best nights sleep but the room was clean and comfortable.
However, the site is still being redeveloped with lots of construction ongoing. Fake grass strewn everywhere and litter and cigarette ends everywhere.
Given this is owned by an incredibly wealthy university, itâs a bit of a liberty. NB, no breakfast is available on or near site. You can buy things for breakfast at the onsite shop, but you wonât have anywhere to cook it.
Excellent amenities as itâs a new build for student accommodation. Excellent laundry facility and helpful staff. You can hear a lot from the hallway, but there wasnât an issue for sleeping.
The room was okay except we couldnât get the AC to work properly. The one big problem was we were literally on a construction site, and there was very loud building work going on from 7am in the morning, when we were still trying to sleep after a very hot night with no AC.
Modern, comfortable double room perfect for our stay in St Andrews to attend a wedding nearby. Much nicer than other well known budget hotel rooms weâve stayed in. Room was spotless and bed comfy. Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. The location worked for us but it is on the edge of St Andrews and would be a good walk or taxi ride into the centre. If this doesnât put you off then Iâd definitely recommend staying here. As other reviews have said there are other flats being built on site. We stayed on a Saturday night and it was very quiet but Iâd expect some noise during the week.
