We loved the location. Walkable to the Old Course. The pub downstairs has so much history and vibe. The room was very clean and comfy. The bathroom is updated. There is no elevator, for those who may need one. We stayed in room #2, there was some road noise but we did have our window open. Breakfast was very good.
Leider sehr hellhörig. Dachte das Fenster sei offen, da es so laut von der StraĂe her war, war es aber nicht. Preis begrĂŒndet sich rein aufgrund der Lage nahe zum old course.
The Dunvegan Hotel is fabulous! We loved our time there. The location is perfect, close to the courses, shops, beaches and St Andrews. The people and staff are amazing, so helpful, and so fun. It was lively in the pub area and dinner at the Claret Jug was great. Absolutely a place I'd recommend for repeat visits.
The bar is a big favorite among locals and worldwide golfers. Old Course right close. Very pleasant and very friendly. "Hotel operations" are run out of the bar. Pleasant and quiet room with single beds (golfers' pref, i'm sure) with updated bathroom. Lovely breakfast. Free parking for rental in public lot nearby.
I loved staying at The Dunvegan. First of all, the staff was outstanding. They were friendly and responsive. The hotel was clean, and my room was kept in prime condition. The breakfasts were yummy, and one night I ate in and the fish and chips were the best I've had. The hotel was central, so I could walk everywhere with ease. If I return to St. Andrews, The Dunvegan will be my first choice of where to stay. Thank you!
The Dunvegan was conveniently located to shops, golf, restaurants, and the university. The staff were kind, accommodating, and courteous. The pub had good food and a lively atmosphere. My daughter and I were very comfortable staying here and are definitely planning on staying again for all future visits.
The property has so much history, not only about the building but also about the visitors. There are photos all over with golfing greats and actors. The staff are amazing. Luke and Mark are the best. Everytime we visit St Andrew's, we always pop in for a few drinks. The food is really good. The chilli nachos are the best in town. The best room is room 1. Really large and modern. Everything is walkable. The beach, the famour 18th hole and the centre of town.
The Dunvegan was such a lovely hotel. We loved all the golf memorabilia and the history of the hotel. The staff were kind and attentive, and the location is ideal for enjoying all the sights of the wonderful town of St. Andrews. We hope to stay here again when we visit.
Fun spot from which to experience St. Andrewâs. Great staff. Comfortable, clean room. Only cautions are that parking is a couple blocks away and there is no elevator, so luggage must be carried up the narrow stairs to the 2nd floor. Would stay here again.
