Not very clean

We paid almost $200 for a basic budget room and there was hair in the shower and bed, mold in the room, and mystery substance in the bed. The front desk worker was nice and switched our room but the second wasn't much better. This area is overpriced for tourism but it's a shame the rooms were not clean

The check in lady was not friendly or welcoming at all. The room smelled strange. But the worst part was taking a shower and seeing mold all over the drain in the tub. I'm allergic to mold.

Upon checking we were given our keys and headed to "our" room. When we got there and opened the door we saw that someone was clearly already staying in that room. Thankfully no one was inside as we just walked into their room. The bed was so loud and woke everyone in our room whenever anyone of us would move, so I'm sure it woke anyone up that was under us as well. Hallways smelled SO bad like someone was cooking something, but not a normal smell for a hotel. Someone also felt the need to leave all their candy wrappers in the hallway stairs.

We had to ask for a different room because the first one they gave us was not ready. The second room - the beds were horrible. I have never experienced beds that bad. There was no where to put your luggage. The shower was very slow. The only thing good was the towels. I will not be returning to this chain hotel again. When I mentioned the beds to the desk, they said that they were going to fixed the end of the year. That I missed it by a couple of weeks. What?? Also when I went to use the elevator the maid used the elevator before me not letting me go first. Not good customer service.

The room was very spacious, wood flooring and also a sofa, we had a King bed. The room smelled clean. The bedsheets smelled clean also, just the box springs of the bed would screech every time we laid on it or moved. The AC unit was always ON, it would not turn off unless manually done . I like to sleep with minimal sound. The breakfast was okay, the eggs and the sausage weren’t to my liking. They did have fresh bagels and peanut butter. Did not use the pool even though the area around it looked very clean.

Good service by front desk. Nice clean rooms. Plush towels. Great breakfast service. A bit far from town center but worth the drive. Close to restaurants and shops. Close to highway 95 to get N/S easily. Highly recommend this La Quinta.
