Sleeps 3 adults not 8. Not marked well. Was told berth 9 and the name of the boat. Had to call for better directions as the 9 was faded and behind cords and the bane of the boat was nowhere to be found. Way too pricy for what it was. Stay elsewhere.
Not as listed.. The listing said 2 bathrooms , there's 1 on the boat and it's a stinky porta potty .. not worth your money - ps this listing agent keeps re-listing his property with a different Title - I Did give them feedback and gave them a chance to make this right before posting but it's been 4-6 weeks and no response. - my friends and I were counting on 2 bathrooms (no it doesn't count if there's one on shore! (Listing doesn't say that anyway- and it was locked). Boat was really hot when we arrived- they did answer my call about god to turn on the AC but that should have been in the instructions also . Seriously the toilet ports potty was ready to overflow after 2 night 2 of us using it .. super deceiving listing Neighborhood was nice and the driveway and parking lot was horrible to get in - should be a warning to go to a certain entrance so car is not damaged. Place was clean but couldn't keep clean- there's even instructions not to flush toilet paper! I didn't know I was going to be camping for the price of a nice hotel!
We booked a three-night visit. We couldn't stay on the houseboat because it was very unlevel. If you enjoy sleeping with your head a couple of inches below your feet, this is the place for you. The owner gave us a partial refund to compensate for our concerns. The frontage road is very busy and currently under construction, which makes for a difficult in and out. Lots of road noise regardless. We did sit on the boat one day to catch some sun and enjoyed the food trucks.
Encontramos roupa da cama suja. Cobertores molhados no piso inferior. Melhor comunicacao sobre localizacao e estado de sanitarios e duche, nao ficou clarificado de que sanitarios eram fora do barco. Nao existencia de tomadas electricas nos quartos e incoveniente.
It was my fault that I booked it in Christmas time. It was freezing cold in there, but that was my fault. It was great. We had a fun time. The TV did not work. We tried everything. Maybe just the batteries in the remote but overall it was a great place. It wouldâve been better if I booked it in the summer thank you for everything.
Something different and fun!
Quick uber ride to St. Augustine for ghost pub tour.
Great sunset and mimosa sunrise!
Loved that we all had separate sleeping accomodations.
my friends and i stayed on board this houseboat for the fourth of july and had a lovely experience the entire time! we were able to utilize the kitchen with a little grocery shopping beforehand. we got full use of the upper levels of the boat and felt that it provided a secure and welcoming environment to have a great time. the hosts are extremely communicative and even allowed for us to have a complimentary early check in and then check out late for a small fee. definitely worth checking out!!
The entire group felt the description was misleading. There are not two bathrooms. One is a closet with a sink. Nothing else. Not even a light. The other one had no instructions as to how to even use that toilet. We have stayed on boats before that had a more normal toilet. Not a portable camping toilet. This is not large enough for 8 people to use. So we used the marina bathrooms. Even in the middle of the night.
Also, there are NOT 4 bedrooms. There are two. One bed is in the hull and the other is UNDER the living room and you can only crawl to it. I feel people need to understand what they are getting to plan appropriately. One person had had a knee surgery, the other a foot. Those arrangements did not work for them. The boat is fine for two couples and maybe some kids BUT the toilet would not hold that many people.
We did enjoy our stay but were not prepared for the misrepresentation.
The door does not slide to get into the boat. Upon getting there we found that the toilet did not work. We contacted them immediately as prior to that we had good communication. We received no response. Emailed again with no response. Left the next day and came back to still a busted toilet. Contacted VRBO who did get ahold of them. Said they were sending someone out in 15 minutes. 3 hrs later she got the toilet running but we were told to just use it broken. I don't think the place we rented matched what we paid for.
The houseboat was cute as can be and roomier than expected. It was very clean and bright. We enjoyed sitting on deck relaxing and watching the wildlife of the marshes.
First the positives, the interior was as pictured and was comfortable for the 4 of us. I will add that more than 5 people would be a lot. There were plenty of towels, blankets, etc.
The exterior was not as nice as pictured. There was no canopy, the chairs and outdoor carpeting were not in great shape. Some of the railings were loose and sadly much of the refurbishment didnât seem to apply to the exterior. The sliding door did not lock and the padlock didnât lock either. We did notify the property manager and they sent someone over the next day. The marina gate stayed unlocked the two days we were there, although there was a code, it was not needed, therefore anyone could access the boats. I did not feel especially safe with all the access and malfunctioning locks.
We had a couple show up within the first hour who also thought they had rented the boat using Air B&B. Fortunately they were very gracious and eventually got the issue resolved, but had we arrived later they very well couldâve already been on board.
I think this is a nice concept and with some effort many of these issues could be resolved.
