The dining area was very spacious, and the kitchen was large enough to prepare meals comfortably, which worked great for our group. The rooms were clean overall, and the bathrooms, while on the smaller side, were well maintained. One thing to note is that one of the downstairs bedrooms does not have a traditional doorâit uses a curtainâand it also houses the washer and dryer, so it can feel a bit like a laundry space rather than a fully private bedroom. Also, beach chairs are not provided, so Iâd recommend bringing your own if youâre planning to spend time by the water.
Everything was great! The kitchen had everything you needed and more. I am a cook & baker, and there was everything I needed in the kitchen, from gadgets to baking pans, pots, and an abundance of dishes, silverware and glasses. Located only a couple houses from the beach, this was the perfect place for our family getaway. Check-in was fast & easy and communication was great.
Great location, easy access to the beach. Very comfortable house with space for a large family. Check-in directions did not include a separate code for the lock downstairs. Had to call property manager to get the code; she was very helpful but that info needs to be given along with the main code. We thought that some beach gear may have been at the house (but werenât sure, so luckily brought chairs, boogie boards from home). The description should make it clear that you need to bring your own. Overall, a very nice stay!
The reviews from previous guests are pretty accurate. The house itself has potential however it needs a good DEEP cleaning, some fresh paint and updating. The furniture is definitely either handmade or bought at yard sales. The porch really needs attention. The stairs that wrap around the front porch has one step the is short and steep. We called it the death trap. We just used the stairs that went straight down from the back porch. We could not access the bottom living area with the code given to us. We had to call and at the end had to get a physical key. The options for beds were good in the form of if you like hard or soft mattress. The second floor bedrooms were much warmer than the bottom rooms. And yes you have to go outside everytime to access the bottom area. The kitchen cookware needs to replaced. Most of the pans were close to falling apart at the handle. The dishwasher struggled to work. Unless you were physically holding the door closed until it gain suction, it would stop running. The upstairs bathroom has a bathtub however it didnât drain properly and you were standing in water. The downstairs bathroom is in need of repair for the shower. The shower pan is definitely in need of attention, you can feel it move as you are moving. The TVs were very small and limited channels. There were no grill cleaning utensils that we could locate. Overall to be clear, this would be great for college students or young adults. We are experienced rental professionals.
Overall, this place is so worn down and it has a strange floor plan in that the downstairs rooms are not accessible from the inside. You have to leave the house, go outside and then enter from the outside. The listing fails to mention this important fact. Not good.
The property was as advertised. Clean on arrival and stocked well with cooking pans and dishes. Great view to see the ocean from the balcony and easy walking distance to the ocean. Has its own shower and foot wash at the house.
Good location with short walk to very nice beach. Grocery stores nearby. House listed as 4 bedrooms and that was true if you want to count the laundry room as a bedroom. Downstairs apt was not nice. Not nice in really a way. Bathroom bad laundry roo/bedroom bad - lawn watering system came on in middle of night and hit side of room like a water cannon. No one would sit in the sitting area. No one! Fees and taxes doubled our nightly chargeđ€Ż
Vacasa is a Very Poor Property Manager...unrespensive and incompetentnt
Disappointing...rented for 28 days and upon arrival. The house and location were fine but from day one
1. Took seven days to connect WiFi
2.Took 12 days to conect TV
3. Clothes washer was never fixed, all 28 days, and Vacasa knew it was broken prior to arrival
4. Will never rent again where Vacasa is the property manager.
We stay in this area every year and normally have no issues at all. Within the first few minutes of check in we discovered a live roach in the silverware drawer. It was disgusting. Needless to say we purchased plastic silverware for the rest of the stay. Other than that, the kitchen was well equipped.
The washing machine was not working and we reached out to the management company by phone and text and they did not respond until 2 days later right before we were leaving.
The beds are in serious need of upgrading. They are really old, lumpy and no one was able to get a good night sleep on them.
We loved the location and deck but the inside needs a lot of attention. In our opinion, this should not be a reflection on the owner but the management company, Vacasa. They are not keeping it clean and need to be more responsive to guests needs as they arise.
I went to St Augustine for a surf trip with some friends. The location was great and we had a blast at the place. Quick walk to the beach and short rides to the town! So fun would love to stay again
Check in process was easy. The house was cleaned when we arrived. BUT the house was not like it looked in the photos. The stairs and deck are rotting and need to replaced. They were shaking every time we used them. Very unsafe especially with young kids. They need to replaced ASAP. The couch has a big hole which was covered with a blanket. Communication prior to our stay was poor. I took weeks for a response.
It needs a good deep cleaning and there is some needed maintenance, especially on the decks. Decorations are nice. Kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and eating. Two decks add to the space.
Fun at the beach in a comfortable beach house. Great sunrise over the beach, easy access to a beautiful beach. Close to Historic Old St Augustine and other attractions.
