They charged me for parking fees without telling me that there was a fee first. They didnt disclose it. I would not have accepted parking if I knew it would cost hundreds of dollars. Shady. Not even legal. Legally you have to disclose and give people the option to consent. Beware they hide behind their "fine print" and just give a blah blah blah runaround while stealing your money.

Southern Oaks Inn was a great value. It was an older model Motel that has been refurbished. The service was excellent, and the beds were comfortable.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this property! Traveling with our dog, we chose to stay here twice—once on our way south and again on our way back home—primarily because of its exceptional dog-friendly environment. Unlike some hotels that offer subpar accommodations for pet owners, this hotel provided a clean and well-maintained room that met high standards. Conveniently located across from the dog-friendly rooms is a charming dog run/park, complete with complimentary poop bags. Each room was thoughtfully equipped with a dog bed and bowls, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. I also appreciated the flowers and landscaping, which contributed to the hotel's charm. The breakfast offered was good, and the staff serving it were friendly.

For the price, you can’t beat it here. The room was clean and the staff were friendly! Our room did have a strong smell from the cleaner that bothered me. But I am glad it was clean! Parking was $20 a night- annoying as their is plenty of parking and there shouldn’t be a charge. The shuttle was really convenient! Breakfast was a let down- they advertise a variety of foods, but the only hot foods daily were eggs, limp sausage, and pancakes. I’d return- but I would know not to get my hopes up for breakfast.

Property was decent, our room was clean and has been partially renovated. The one thing is that I was charged a 20 us parking fee at the hotel and this was not communicated to me during check in. At the price we paid ( on Expedia) the hotel was decent but with the “surprise” parking fee I would have look at other properties and the whole thing left me a bit bitter.
