The host was very welcoming and helpful. The place was nice and clean. The floor was a bit weird as there are open spaces between the flooring but it wasn’t an issue for us.

Very nice place within easy walk to historic area. Convenient parking in an area with narrow streets and limited other parking. Beds were comfortable. Apartment was very clean. I did make suggestion to host that additional seating in living area would be nice as there wasn’t enough seating for the number of people that can sleep there. Would definitely stay again.

Me and my husband, my daughter, son-in-law and her three children ages 12, four and 2 1/2 recently stayed at the Ray on the first floor. What a very nice spacious place. The bedrooms were a nice size. The bathrooms were very clean with plenty of towels. Our grandsons loved the room they were staying in. It was absolutely perfect for them. They could not wait to show their great grandparents when they stopped by to pick us up to walk Into town.We did not cook many meals here, but we did get a couple takeout meals. There is plenty of cookware and plates. If you do choose to do that. We did need to use the washing machine and dryer which worked wonderful.We walked all over. This condo is located in a great location. We walk to a family event on Martin Luther King Ave. as well as an event on St. George Street. We walked to the shops in the center of town as well as on the other side of town pulling the two little ones in a big wagon. A couple nights we were returning close to midnight And felt safe coming back at that time.I did communicate with the owner of the unit during our time here and he was very quick to respond.We would definitely recommend the Ray and stay here again.

RAY House was better than expected!

We were surprised with how large this house was. Our family rented all three floors and were wonderfully surprised with how large it was. Our family had lots of space, unit was stocked with supplies and towels. Air worked fantastic! We would absolutely rent this or any of the units again!!

Excellent, relaxing weekend

I brought my daughter and several of her friends to St. Augustine and stayed at the Ray for her 18th birthday. The Ray, 1st floor was perfect! Open living area, spacious bedrooms, and easy access in and out. It was clean, comfortable and we loved the bathrooms.

Beautiful condo with a historic but modern flare. Great location and parking! Beds are somewhat small, but worked for us

Short walk to all the fun. Discovered an amazing new restaurant because of the location. Walking distance to Dog Rose Brewery too, which we love.

Great location for walking the historic area. Lots of places to eat and explore.

We arrived in the dark and the entrance off of the parking lot had no light and the lock was extremely difficult to operate. We should have been sent directions and there should always be a light in the entryway. We used our phone flashlights eventually, but it was too dark to even make that easy. Also, the TV streaming was not easy to decipher. I think you need to enhance your directions on how to work with the TV in your handbook. Watching TV was not a priority, but when we had time it was difficult to operate as that is not what we use in our homes. Everything else was okay, but there were no tea bags, as not everyone drinks coffee in the morning. All other places have had both coffee and tea in their cupboards.

Liked that it was in walking distance. Clean and nice interior. Everything worked and was spacious. I found myself constantly kicking to slide the flooring panels back in place. Bed was as hard as the floor. Had to walk past street people taunting as we passed them on the way to the wedding and restaurants. The directions to lock the door from outside were incorrect, but we figured it out.

Nice Stay at the Ray

The property was comfortable and exactly as shown and described on the VRBO website. There was everything we needed to prepare our meals, and also prepare for a family event. Our only two complaints were the late (4pm) checkin, and two of the queen beds were very hard.

This is a great property. It is about a 10 min walk to downtown st Aug where there are lots of shops, restaurants and bars. Great location. The owner was VERY responsive to any questions we had.

Great stay

We had a great stay, this property is not in walking distance to downtown, however, it is just a short drive. More than ample space for entertaining friends and family. Kitchen could have better lighting though we did NOT choose to do any cooking. Large variety of places to eat at. We are already planning our stay here for next year.

Things that would make the stay better

The lock for the back side of the property was a PAIN....please advise others to use the front entry, unit #1, or you might change out the deadbolt. I was not told about a deadbolt, and there was no key, of course. Also, info is needed about setting the inside alarm, no one told me about there even being one in the unit. The television is great, BUT you need to get the Samsung control working. The control for the other channels works, but without the Samsung control there is no volume control and no regular tv...a real pain for my guests. And there is a light bulb out on the light fixture over the dining table. I think information received from you about the experiences of Danny and Andrea have had in the past would prove it's the little things that make the stay an enjoyment or a "I'm not sure I want to do this again" adventure. This was my first experience booking a VRBO, that went smoothly, but the interaction after getting to the unit and during the stay was less than satisfactory for me. I enjoyed the neighborhood, and the fact the property was so close to Old Town St. Augustine and in Lincolnville.

Lovely Weekend Stay

We had the best time at The Ray! The place was spotless and so roomy and relaxing! The pictures really dont do the place justice! Literally just minutes walk to dowtown St. Augustine. It was everything they say it is and so cozy as well! Highly recommend!

Unsatisfactory stay

We found 2 cockroaches, advised them on Friday. Sunday evening we found a can of roach spray at the door. There weren’t enough towels, coffee was deplorable .there weren’t any wine glasses and not enough towels

Great for my entire family!

We had six adults and two children under two. This nicely decorated apartment comfortably fit us all with plenty of common area space. It’s about 13 minutes to downtown if you decide to walk. The apartment has two dedicated parking spots which is fantastic. Apartment was clean and had everything you needed for a comfortable weekend away! We definitely stay here again!
