What a lovely place. The staff were very friendly and helpful The room was lovely and the bed very comfy and really enjoyed the Cornish biscuits :-) Bathroom was tiny and found it hard to navigate but thats not a complaint just an observation as i was on my own it wasnt a problem Car park was a liltle bumpy.. Didnt eat in the restaurant but it looks very nice

I think the location is terrific. Plenty of things to see around the beach and harbour area. Steeped in history. Hotel is modern - the staff very pleasant and friendly. Can't say there was anything to dislike.

Not what we were expecting. Booked a superior king room and were allocated a small twin room. The lady at check in did kindly offer to put the beds together for us. The bathroom was small - I have a bruise on my elbow from trying to navigate the tight space - it was basically a shower, loo and basin inside a fitted wardrobe. The cooked breakfast was good, however we did have a 30 minute wait before being acknowledged and our drinks and breakfast order being taken. Sadly we wouldn't recommend or return based on our experience.

Our room was in a separate building (T'Gallants) which was very quiet as no noise from the Bar. Very spacious room and we enjoyed a very relaxing time there during our long weekend in Charlestown. The bed was very comfortable and the shower room was also very spacious. We would definitely recommend, especially as the Rashleigh Arms is currently undergoing a refurbishment.

Pleasant winter stay

Pros: Overall ambience, friendliness of staff and the room décor. The closeness to the sea was also good and one of the reasons I chose it
Cons: Taken note of my request for a quiet room
Location: Easy to walk to the coastal path
All staff very welcoming whether checking in/out or serving in restaurant or at breakfast. Stayed in a lovely twin room for single occupancy which was very spacious and clean. The mattress was a little soft for me but guess that's more down to personal preference. Not sure if it was the stone walls but I couldn't get a phone signal at all in the room but the Wi-Fi works perfectly well if you want to do anything other than call someone. The only real downside for me in terms of the room was the noise from the bar. I had asked for a quiet room but the room I had (Anchor) was directly over the bar. It wasn't terrible but the noise did travel quite a bit and you might need to use ear plugs if you're sensitive to such things. The other minor niggle was struggling to get a parking space in the car park when I returned on an evening. It is large (though cobbled and VERY bumpy!) but the pub was very popular on both Fri and Sat night.
