For a new hotel, I was hoping for a clean overall place. Mayflies were everywhere. The beach front was kind of trashy. The hot tub was dirty and ornamental grass blocked the view of the water & Mackinac Island. It wasn't worth the money I paid to stay there.

Not sure if we got there at a bad time, but the whole town was full of flying little black bugs. This made it hard to enjoy anything about the area. The hotel itself is great. Very comfortable and clean, and truly the bug issue was very much out of the hotel’s control, but still affects the experience.
