Location is perfect. Right up the hill from shopping, food, the boardwalk. Beautiful view of Lake Huron every morning. We had a full house (8) and it was a bit tricky with only 2 bathrooms but we all survived. I would rent this place again.
Our group was ladies from all over the country for a reunion of 7th grade cheerleaders 56 years ago. We all agree that this Charming Victorian home was the perfect gem!! Excellent location to everything . Walking distance to Ferry , Restaurants and just a short drive to grocery store for supplies. We also spent one day driving up in the UP to Taquamenon Falls, and of course a couple days at Mackinac Island. Firepit was a special treat and big supply of firewood. Would definitely recommend this property and would also love to return someday. Our host was very responsive and helpful with advice and recommendations.
Went ot Mackinac Island. Could have walked to ferry. Just steps from downtown St. Ignance. Would like full lenght mirrors otherwise loved this property.
This property is just as it's listed. The play room was a big hit with my grandchildren. We are already talking about booking it again during warmer weather. One of the best vrbos I ever rented.
The home was very clean and well appointed. Enough room for everyone to have their space. We had a good time playing games and enjoying each others company. You wont be disappointed with this place
Nice cozy old house. We enjoyed the charm of the home. Kids enjoyed the air hockey table. Wished the weather was better to enjoy the fire pit.
Only concern was the upstairs hallway floor is really squeaky. Makes it hard to move around at night without waking someone.
Heather, thank you for everything you did for us and we enjoyed the area and we loved the house.
Our family can from North Carolina to visit Mackinaw Island and we loved it there as well.

We had a great time during our stay. The place is very well taken care of and clean. Had everything we needed for a group of 8. Would highly recommend and hope to stay again in the future.
Great Stay for a Fun Getaway with Grandparents and Kids
My in-laws have been telling us for years how wonderful Mackinac Island and the surrounding area are. So when we flew out to visit them, we wanted to work in some time in Michigan. This listing was perfectly sized for our party of eight: one set of grandparents, my wife, me, and our 4 kids aged 5-10, and everyone loved the house and all of its ammenities. Our boys play hockey and were delighted to find the house had an air hockey table! The back porch was perfect for outdoor dining and the fire pit was perfect for sâmores and spooky stories. The house is a close walk to St. Ignaceâs downtown and the lighthouse. In addition to being close to ferry terminals to get to Mackinac Island, the house isnât too far from Tahquamenon Falls, the Great Lakes Shipwreck museum, or even a trip across the bridge to Mackinaw City and all the things to do over there. The house was clean, had pretty much all of the amenities we could have hoped for, and there was plenty of firewood in supply. All bedrooms are on the second level. The stairs to the second level were reported as âsteep,â but my in-laws are in their 70âs. But points for the solid bannister and stair rail that helped out a good bit. The kids found the circa 1880âs creaky floors highly entertaining, particularly in the morning. All things considered, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would totally stay here again. We highly recommend it for anyone looking to explore the UP.
We realize that you only owned the house for 9 months & you are trying to quickly recoup...However: Anyone using the 2nd floor or stairs will wake other people up at night; bad squeaks, bedroom door bangs against the wall; no door stop, same bedroom: 1 door won't lock & other door won't unlock, the glass front door & the rear glass door need curtains for privacy/safety, we had 2 senior citizens; safety bars should be a must, the 2 shower floors/pans are very attractive but with a little soap become slippery; maybe non-skid mats or tape.
The house was clean and well furnished. It has a charming appeal to it! We were able to cook a few family meals in the house (kitchen is well stocked) and roasted marshmallows by the fire pit at night. Activities near the house included: Mackinac Island (house is walking distance to ferry docks), Tahquamenon Falls, Castle Rock, and shopping in Saint Ignance. Lots of family-friendly choices in the area. We recommend for a family trip!
The property is a very well maintained Victorian house, great for family get togethers. I will let others know, if you have family members that have issues with steps, this might be hard. The pnly way to get to the bedrooms is by a pretty narrow stairway. I gave 4 stars for communication because originally we were told there were bikes, but in reality they were not. Overall though everyone had a great time & we went over to the island and had an amazing day.
We stayed here while attending the Lilac Festival in Mackinac Island. We are a family of seven which included 2 married kids. The rooms were perfect and lots of space for us to be entertained.
We had the best time vacationing at this home! Everything felt like luxury from the bedding/blankets to the bath towels. From the rugs to the kitchen! We had everything we needed to cook our dinners for our family. My parents enjoyed the back yard and watching all the different birds.
We all also enjoyed the air hockey table! We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in the UP!
