The view from the deck high in the mountains is incredible. The location is amazing and close to all the main beaches. The house has everything you want and need. Close also to local markets.
Definitely would stay here again. Does need some updating, but nothing that would keep me from staying here again! Perfect place to stay, location is everything!
1) Fabulous location and view of Coral Bay2) Driveway was terrifying at first3) House comfortable but tired4) Needs new refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and matching dishes, glasses, silverware5) Living room lights and fans did not work consistently 6) Tim was very responsive to our texts and questions7) Loved the many St. John beaches and hikes. All an easy drive from our house.8) The Calabash Market was a real find. GREAT fresh fish.9) The back deck could benefit from some lighting10) All in all, a very nice trip. The house simply needs updating
The view is amazing. The villa was clean, but needs some updates. Kitchen and bathrooms are very tired. Refrigerator door is rusting, tile and faucets need updating.
We enjoyed the pool and patio.
Wonderful stay that provided everything we needed for a great first time in St. John. Home was clean, and bed was very comfortable. A quaint place that we would come back to. Pool and view make this a special place.
This home has a lovely view. A nice outdoor space with great decking and a descent pool. The inside is tired...with broken lamps, towel racks, cupboard doors, etc. All that aside we enjoyed our stay. We had a front wheel drive rental and had no issues getting in/out of the driveway.
Nice place for two couples. Lovely view of coral bay & beautiful sunrise everyday! Villa is a little tired but the view makes up for that. Dishwasher not working & tv firestick did not work. Host was quick to communicate during our stay. There were a few things we needed (one beach chair was broken, no extra paper towels or garbage bags) & they were delivered quickly. Nice amount of condiments left behind for use. Water is not potable so plan on buying water for drinking. Beds were comfortable with nice linens. Minimal towels available, however, there is a washer & dryer. Pool is unheated but nice to cool off during the heat of the day. Goats were daily visitors in the parking area!
Hopefully again is almost all we can say! Perched above Coral Bay looking out over the harbor counting the boats and taking pictures of the sunrise every morning was so relaxing. Perfect for 4 people and the owners family took care of our minor needs immediately! New bread toaster lol. All the bays for snorkeling and swimming were all within 15 to 25 minutes. Hiking trails were also close. Very glad we rented a Jeep for the ride around the island as it is very mountainous! Beautiful place, would highly recommend!
We totally enjoyed our stay at Someday Soon. The property was exactly as listed. The views were outstanding! Loved waking up each day, having my coffee on the deck and enjoying the view. Loved our time on St. John!
We just spent 7 glorious nites @ Someday Soon. It had amazing views and great outdoor spaces with lots of chairs / loungers / 2 tables to be able to take advantage.
The house had everything you could need or want. We brought our own snorkeling gear but there was gear there along with beach chairs /coolers / noodles.
The only negative which is also a huge positive is coral bay is the quaint/ being out of the way. not having a lot of dining options. We came right at the end of the season so stuff started closing down. Make sure you get to Lime Out it was a fun experience for the entire family.
I would definitely recommend having a jeep when staying on St John. Lots of windy , steep roads and the driveway is no joke. We were sad our vacation came to an end and definitely would stay here again .
We couldn't be happier with the house and its amenities. The views were stunning, and the breeze made the A/C unnecessary. Eating breakfast on the porch was so nice that we would usually spend the mornings there. We will be returning.
The view from both bedrooms and the living area was amazing. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and the beds were comfortable. The pool was perfect for a quick morning swim or cooling off after a day at the beach. The kitchen had everything I needed to make meals. My little family was very happy here!
Relaxing and perfect for small families or two couples
We greatly enjoyed our stay at Someday Soon, and the property is perfect in many ways. Very comfortable and very clean, and nicely appointed with lots of useful items (e.g., coolers, beach chairs). The outdoor spaces are truly lovely. Like most, we were gone a lot exploring, but the balcony with the gorgeous view of Coral Bay was perfect for morning coffee, and the pool was wonderful for a quick cooling plunge when coming home from a day at the beach.
Just two items for future guests to be aware of. (1) Getting a car in and out is a bit tricky, given the narrowness of the turnaround space at the bottom of the driveway. Not impossible by any means, just something to be aware of if you are renting a car (which I think is essential in this location); and (2) we loved the Coral Bay area. It is a bit quieter than Cruz Bay and less "touristy." One downside is there are some evenings (e.g., Tuesday) where you may have VERY few restaurant options. Plan ahead (and check with restaurants; they don't necessarily go by their posted days or hours of operations). Thankfully we had some items in the house we could cook (we didn't experience any of the stove issues noted by other guests; we found the kitchen to be lovely). A wonderful place to stay. We would definitely stay there again on future trips to St. John!
This house has the most amazing view overlooking Coral Bay. It is perfect for 2 couples, as it has 2 master bedrooms with attached bathrooms connected in the middle by the living room/kitchen. The kitchen was well-equipped and met our needs very well. The property was clean and well-maintained. We were even surprised to find beach chairs, snorkels and fins to use. The location is an easy 3 minute drive into Coral Bay, but away from all the hustle and bustle of Cruz Bay. There is a washer and dryer in the property even though it is not listed in the description. We were asked to be mindful of water consumption as this house, like most on the island, used rain water collected by cistern. Therefore, you cannot drink the water at the house, which would have been helpful to know prior to our grocery store run. The host was wonderful, easy to connect with and very responsive to our needs. This property really was just what we were looking for, and we'd definitely stay here again!
When in St. John we spend very little time in our home base but when we do, itâs nice to be in a pleasant space. Someday Soon had all we needed and is close to restaurants and food markets.
Enjoyed the 5 day stay. Property looks down toward Coral Bay as advertised and view is great. Stunning sunrises. Cute decor and colorful. Two air conditioned bedrooms with bathroom each. Washer and dryer. Small pool to cool off in and outdoor porchâs added to the relaxing experience.
We were looking for a house to rent for a week for two couples. This place fit the bill perfectly. The decks and pool were great for relaxing. Due to the mosquitoes we had to retreat indoors after dark, but the TV has Netflix, etc. The sliding screen doors do need new rollers but we got them to work somewhat better by spraying Pam on the rusted rollers. Overall a very nice place. We would definitely stay here again.
While I believe this house is nicer than most on the island It definitely did not live up to the price per night . The kitchen needs massive updating . The stove is gas and needs replacing . When we would cook on It the flames would go up the sides of the pans , burning the sides of our hands and the heat off the stove was just horrific . It made the already un-air conditioned living space a sauna. We would have loved to used the grill so that we didnât have to have the added heat in the house âŠ.. but the grill was completely rusted out . The living room furniture is not real furniture . Itâs more like what one would use on a patio. There were no curtains on the windows which made the sunrise at 5:30-6 am exhausting because we couldnât sleep . There were sheer pull down shades but It definitely did not keep the sun out . We couldnât understand why there would be air units in the bedrooms and not in the main space . And some fans in the main space didnât work . It just was not worth the price listed to feel the way we did . Luckily the views from the home were breathtaking.
This vacation villa is on a side of the island that doesnât have much going on. Itâs a long drive from Cruz Bay. The owners can not control the fact that there is a small bayou down wind from their vacation property so that when you sit on the back deck, the awful smell is overwhelming. The owners also can not control the power outages that make this house very hot inside when the power is out. The gas range works well for cooking but the wooden, painted cabinets heating up their underside does give one the sense that they could catch on fire at any moment. When opening the cabinets be ever so careful as two of them literally fell off the hinge in our hands. The guest bathroom shower is the equivalent of showering under a halfway turned on spicket, there is no water pressure at all and barely any water comes out with no shower head. The pool has some rusty spots that did not make the Vrbo photos. The screen doors on the back patio are not on the track and donât open very well. This was pointed out to the property manager upon our arrival and she simply showed us how to manhandle it open. Now for the good, the back deck is spacious and has a nice place for eating and seating. The grill works fine. The pool is warm, and the villa has a washer and dryer which is nice. There is a lot of Tupperware and pans and pots which is great. The place was nicely cleaned. Overall we would not stay here again and not recommend it.
The location is perfect. Quiet area and views of the water and mountain and small islands are breathtaking. Just a few minute drive to a grocery store and a few very small relaxed vibe places to eat. The balcony was large and our favorite spot for the morning. The pool was the perfect size and depth. The property manager was so helpful and even checked on us during the tropical storm. House could of been cleaner, there was stuff dripped down the front of the dishwasher for example. There were a few items in need of repair, such as the cabinet door under the kitchen sink hanging on one hinge. The hot water tank is very small so only the first 1 or 2 people got a hot shower. But we didn't mind since usually coming in from snorkeling and ready to cool off. We did wish it had air conditioning in the living space. At night we ended up separating from the other couple and hanging out more in our bedrooms because it was too hot in the main living space. Overall we would recommend this house.
