Welcome to Goodview!
Wake up to the harbour and the iconic Cabot Tower framed in your bedroom window. You're a five-minute walk from Mile One Centre, Water Street, and George Street — right in the heart of downtown St. John's, with the whole city at your doorstep.
The space
The entire house is yours — no shared entrance, no host on site, no other guests. Like most homes in downtown St. John's, it's semi-detached and shares one wall with the neighbouring house, but the rest of the space is entirely your own: three bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms, and room for five.
The top-floor primary bedroom is where the view lives: the narrows, hills, and Cabot Tower standing watch over it all. The second bedroom catches a glimpse of the Tower too, though the top floor keeps the best of it. Two queen beds and a twin mean flexible sleeping for families, couples travelling together, or a group in town for a show.
The full bathroom serves the bedrooms, and there's a convenient half bath on the main floor just off the living room — no trips upstairs when you have company over.
Everything you need to settle in
A full kitchen with dishwasher, so you can cook a proper meal after a day of exploring — or just make coffee before the walk down to Water Street. In-house washer and dryer for longer stays. Fast Wi-Fi and a dedicated work desk if the trip is part work, part play.
Out back, a private fenced yard for morning coffee or an evening drink out of the wind.
Parking sorted
Street parking right outside, and we provide a visitor parking permit so you're not feeding meters or puzzling over signage. Downtown parking is one less thing to think about.
The neighbourhood
Right on foot: Mile One Centre for concerts and hockey, Water Street for restaurants and shops, George Street for the pubs and the music, the harbourfront for a walk along the water, and the jellybean row houses just down the street from you. Coffee shops and groceries are all within easy reach.
Cabot Tower and Signal Hill stand across the harbour from your window — close enough to watch the light change on them through the day, and a short drive when you're ready to make the climb. Quidi Vidi, with its brewery and fishing village tucked inside the city, is a few minutes further by car.
A few honest notes
This is downtown St. John's, and downtown St. John's has a pulse. George Street is famously lively, and on weekend nights you'll hear the city enjoying itself — music, voices, the occasional taxi. The house is semi-detached, so you may hear the occasional sound from next door as well. That energy is exactly why people come here, but if you're a light sleeper, pack earplugs.
The house also sits on a few levels, with the primary bedroom on the top floor — worth knowing if stairs are a consideration.
Come stay a while. We'd love to have you!
