This must be one of the most unique hotels anywhere. Geard to those who love and appreciate the old rockers. Very clean, you even get a pair of slippers. It really is, Rockers heaven

Loved my stay at The JAG! The rock ’n’ roll vibe is so fun, the rooms are spotless and comfy, and the staff are super friendly. Perfect downtown location would 100% stay there again! Others mentioned issues with parking but we got lucky with a spot right out front but would have used the valet service if needed.

The check-in time was extremely long and at times chaotic. One receptionist was struggling with in person and the phone. One porter was trying to take other porters trollies when we were being taken to our room. The shower in the room wasn’t very clean with lots of mold and black areas. The thermostat didn’t work and was loose in the wall. The air conditioner wasn’t very effective. I was shocked with the lack of handicap push buttons for all the doors for a fairly new hotel. Some doors could hardly fit the trollies, let alone someone maneuvering around the hotel in a wheelchair. We had to assist the porter with the trolley as he couldn’t keep the door open. The wedding reception area and dining room was extremely hot. Honestly, for a new hotel, I am shocked with what we saw. Definitely will think twice before booking another room or recommending others to stay there.

Check in took over an hour. Front desk kept answering calls and giving unnecessary information to guest (for example children pool hours for someone who confirmed they had no children). Maybe had 12-15 people infront of us for checkin and it took over an hour to get our keys. We had stopped in at the hotel at 4pm (check in time ) and saw a line and decided to come back at 4:40 pm to give it time to die down. Did not get into the room until almost 6.

First 2 days for house keeping was good, after that from Sunday until Thursday it was just okay. Bed not made correctly, rugs not vaccummed nor was the counter wiped. Limited amount of food in restaurant and the service was not great. Nothing got vegetarians nor willing to accommodate. Room service was bad. Never got cutlery and the panko fish was about 2 seconds from being burnt. How I, the valet service was amazing.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Jag, it's like a Vegas Hotel right in the downtown area of St John's. Easy walk to George St and Water St. Parking can be a challenge sometimes, you can park on the street or valet parking is available for a fee. You can park overnight in the 2 hr max zones without being ticketed I have been told, and we did that for our 3 night stay.

The JAG (St. John’s) has a really cool vibe, with music playing all the time, a lounge that looks like it’s from a movie, and lots of really neat rock and roll memorabilia. The rooms are clean, modern, and also have memorabilia. The location is amazing-an easy walk to the lively George St.
