Close 2 Park is a nicely maintained and very clean property. It has 3 bedrooms and one bathroom on main floor and 1 bedroom and bathroom in basement along with living rooms on both floors. Kitchen was fully equipped with new appliances.
We stayed at this property as a family of four adults and three 2-year-old children for a trip to the zoo. The homeâs open floor plan was perfect for the little ones to explore safely and interact with each other, which made our time indoors enjoyable and stress-free.The separate living area in the basement was a great bonus, providing additional space for part of the family to relax and unwind without disturbing the rest of the group. The location is idealâvery close to the zoo, which made getting there with young children easy and convenient.Overall, we had a good experience at this property. However, we did note that there was no backyard area for the kids to play in, and the front yard grass hadnât been cut before we arrived. Yard service came earlyâaround 8AMâon our departure day to take care of it, which wasnât ideal timing.Despite that, the home met our needs and made for a comfortable and convenient family getaway.
Liz is a wonderful host. She communicated everything in a very timely manner. The house was as pictured and very clean. The beds were comfortable and TVs were great. Appliances were very clean. It was hot when we arrived so very much appreciated the AC being on, which worked great the whole trip. The house is on a quiet street and neighbors were quiet. I walked my dog several times a day thru the neighborhood and it was quiet and safe. We ate at Felix Pizza and Seamus McDaniels and both were good. The only minor thing about the area is that they are still cleaning up from the tornado in May so lots of tree limbs around. My recommendation for the house would be landscaping, although the house is on par with many in the area in that regard. The yard is small and functional for the dog, but not much else. Also, there is no access from the house to the yard directly, so you have to go outside and open the yard gate to let the dog in and out. Overall, a very nice experience and a very nice host.
The house was in a very quiet neighborhood and was mostly clean. The basement bedroom had some spiderwebs around the windows that the cleaning crew missed, but we used the provided vacuum to take care of that. The tub and shower were both fairly slick and there are no grab bars. We had handicapped people with us, so that was difficult. The toiletries provided in the bathrooms were great. Overall, the house met our needs and was as advertised. The beds were reasonably comfortable, and the kitchen was great. I would definitely stay there again when in town.
This was a great place for our little family getaway. we came to visit some friends and check out the zoo and museums and this place was in a prime location. the neighborhood was nice and easy to navigate. The home itself was just like the pictures and clean. When i booked i didn't request any baby amenities but they were already there so that was a nice plus.
One note is that we came on a week that the temperature changed pretty dramatically and while the heat worked very well it would have been nice if there were extra blankets or even throw blankets for lounging. we also never did find an oven mitt. these are things that weren't a huge deal but
This property came as advertised. I was not let down in any way. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood, it was clean, and the communication with the owner was outstanding.
My dog was allowed to stay in the home. There is a very small fenced in back yard which was nice.
All in all I would recommend this property and would stay here again.
Our intergenerational group very much enjoyed this home. The two sets adult enjoyed the respective space of the first floor master and basement suite. We used the game console, enjoyed meals and card games at the dining table and slept comfortably in the memory foam mattresses.
It seemed all as if all of our destinations were no more than 15-20 minutes away, so the destination couldnt be more convenient and the neighborhood quiet.
We were glad to have brought sound machines to muffle some of the noise between the three first floor bedrooms being close to one another and the hardwood floor being a little bit squeaky. The kitchen supplies sufficed but we also werent doing major meal preparation either.
Great spot!
Everything was exactly as described. The location was great. The house was very spacious and had plenty of toiletries and other essentials. We enjoyed our stay!
Everything about the home was as described in the listing- modest clean home. having two different living areas and large dining table as well as a table & chairs outside made for comfortable downtime when we were there.
Enjoyed walking around the Dogtown neighborhood which was new to us.
The real star is the easy access to zoo, Forest Park, Botanical Gardens and downtown attractions.
Would definitely stay here again.
Getaway for the boys to Side Project Brewing 10 year anniversary
We had a great stay at Maravilla 1. Liz was very helpful before we arrived as we were planning our trip. The communication between us was better than any VRBO rental that I have stayed at for our trip.
Liz was very quick to assist in the one problem we had while there. Our coffeemaker would not work. Liz responded to my emails quickly and was able to replace it with a brand new one before noon that day!
The unit was very comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It was very convenient for the places we were planning our activities for our trip.
The welcome packet was very well prepared and included a LOT of info for St Louis and the surrounding areas for food and entertainment.
Overall a great place to stay!
We stayed a long weekend for a family wedding, the location was central and east access to all areas of the city and county. The house was nicely furnished and equipped - we used the iron!
Great stay! Toddler friendly, and the downstairs suite is well insulated for sound (so no one else was up with the newborn)! Responsive and accessible hosts. Walkable neighborhood with a great coffee shopâ Sweet Emâs. Would definitely book again.
Lovely, cozy feeling property in a pretty, leafy neighborhood. Nice spacious, layout feels like home. The king sized bed was like sleeping on a cloud. So comfy!
Our family of 6 (including in-laws) decided to take a mini getaway. We decided to go to St.Louis to see our beloved Cubs play. The house was clean and accessible to everything we did. The zoo was a 5min drive. The other places like Busch stadium, Aquarium at Union Station, the City Museum, Galleria mall, and restaurants were no more than 15min away. The house is located in an area called Dogtown which was very quiet and family friendly. Great place to stay at!
Good location, nice house set up and responsive host
Stayed here for a family reunion. Property is clean and nicely appointed. The host was responsive to any issues. The basement bedroom and bathroom is nice for privacy. The location has good restaurants and bars within walking distance. Could also walk in forest park easily Would definitely recommend
This location was great for everything we had planned, and there are great casual eating places a short walk from the house. House was clean and set up well for a fun weekend.
