Skip it.

Booked for the location and pool, as well as the curiosity of the quirky vibes. The staff were friendly and professional - no complaints there. It's the state of the rooms and shared spaces that are really disappointing. This place has been through it and the wear + tear is on full display. Needs a FULL gut and refresh. Attempts have been done in the bathroom, but it's all a bit janky and leave you feeling dirty. If you are taller than 5'5' good luck with the super low shower head position and light fixtures that protrude from the low ceilings. Lots of broken things, non-functional switches and halfway measures with the fixes. There aren't normal size pillows for some reason and they are folded into squares for some reason, too. So much dust, grime, etc. You can tell it was once something cool and has fallen into disrepair. Hope someone comes in and revives this concept because you see the hauntings of charm it once had.

Unique looking hotel located in a very nice area. Very close to the park. Nice decoration, but the standard rooms are illuminated by mostly white light, which makes things look cheap. No minibar in the standard room. Fan was too noisy, and some of the towels had stains. There is a lot of carpet smell in the room.

It was nice but the room could use some updates and the bathroom set up was not good, had a glass panel on the door , so couldn't leave light on at night. The beds were ok but more like doubles than queens. Kind of felt like I was staying at an older persons house. The breakfast wasn't that great., had quite a few pastries but eggs were cold. The pool was nice and the staff was freindly.Wallpaper was peeling in bathroom and some outlets didn't work.

We always stay at the Cheshire on our cross-country road trips. It's perfect for families and it's pet friendly. We like that it's clean, has character ( the rooms are named after different authors), and has good food options. The breakfast is healthy with fresh fruit options. But most of all, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I left clothing behind on one of our trips recently and they went out of their way to look for it and mail it to me! A special thank you to Roxie!

Bed and pillows where uncomfortable. Room and facilities were dirty. Parking was a joke due to there being 2 restaurants on the property as well so it was hard to find a spot as the hotel and restaurant shared the parking lot and garage but you had to pay to park if you stayed in the hotel.

I liked the concept and amenities of the Cheshire. People were very friendly. However our room and some areas of the hotel were not clean and well cared for. Our bathroom in particular was not clean. We saw staff sitting around on their cell phones a lot. The outdoor patio near the dining area needed attention also. Tables were dirty and needed a good hosing off.

This is definitely a unique hotel. The book/author themes is kind of cool, but overall it felt very outdated. The giant bear in the lounge area looks like it's been there for 100 years...missing fingers and toes...very dusty. Pool area could be really great if they had less metal tables and more loungers. Breakfast was a bonus.

We absolutely loved the Cheshire! It's so beautiful that we were tempted to never leave! My kids loved the breakfasts and the sparkling clean pool. We recommend the Cheshire to everyone and we will definitely be back!

I stayed at the Cheshire about 10 years ago, and I don't think a single thing has been improved since. The rooms are terribly dark and no fan in the bathroom. The beds are comfortable, but the air conditioning unit made lots of noise during the night and had a hard time cooling the room. The pool area is very nice, as is the breakfast. The $35 charge for parking daily is a joke. The underground parking is so low clearance we had to back out of the ramp because the clearance was only 6'2" and it would have ruined our vehicle.

When we arrived and checked in the air conditioner, wasn’t working in our room so I reported it to the front desk. The response I got back was oh it takes a little while to cool off. Well we went to dinner and when we came back from dinner, it still wasn’t working. So we went back down to the front desk and told them and finally there was a maintenance worker there who walked up with us to our room and realized that the breaker had been tripped reset it and then the air conditioner came on and it took a while for the room to cool off. Long story short they should’ve checked it when we first went down there to the front desk that’s my only complaint.
