Accommodations were dated but very good and clean. Very convenient to all of the east park attractions and we enjoyed the view, especially at sunrise. Male server was rude and inattentive in the restaurant - only ate one meal there because of it, but did enjoy the coffee shop.
St. Marys Village was the closest lodging to the east entrance to Glacier National Park. We were there for 3 nights at the end of September. The Bear Lodge room was clean and we had a 2nd floor room with a balcony that looked at the mountains. The only place open to eat was the restaurant at the lodge and they had a very limited menu.
The room view was very nice looking at the mountain, river behind. The room was also quite nice with large room, a basin outside. The condition of carpet, shower is old - but perhaps that is because overall it is a little old property. The restaurants at the hotel are nice.
However, overall it exceeded my expectations. It is an excellent property to stay on the east side.
Get a 1 star old motel room at a 4 star hotel price!!! Plan your trip to stay in Columbia Falls or West Glacial, stayed at paddle ridge too - highly recommend
We stayed one night in nice room at the inn and one night in the horrific âwest motelâ at $350 for one queen. Thin walls, musty odor, stained sheets. Shower set of smoke detector. Management took out batteries to stop blaring and never came back. Refund through Expedia was promised but not delivered!!!
