Welcome to Bertie’s Nest—a two-bedroom, 1.5-bath St. Simons vacation rental in the historic Kings Terrace neighborhood, just a mile from the Village. Close enough to hear the ship bells ring from the pier and smell the hushpuppies at Iguanas. You’re walking distance to Neptune Park and the pier, around the corner from live music at Palm Coast, and imagining the day's seafood binge by 10am just means you're fresh to the catch.

Inside, Bertie’s Nest feels like a page out of a story you didn’t know you’d want to reread—layered in charm, light, and the kind of comfort that doesn’t try too hard. There are two living areas (because the best beach rentals should have room to stretch), a sun-bright dining nook, a fully equipped kitchen, and two classic Queen bedrooms that bookend an updated bath with a walk-in shower and built-in bench.

The second living room doubles as a sunroom and bonus lounge with a futon, smart TV, and a separate half bath and laundry room. It’s the perfect place to crash after mini golf at Neptune Fun Zone or to cool off after a bike ride to East Beach.

Outside, the magic keeps going. The shaded back patio has a ceiling fan, café table, and plenty of room to sit, sip, or let your day unravel naturally. Across the street? A grassy park lined with towering live oaks. It's not on a brochure—yet.

This was a fantastic house in a great location in SSI. I stayed here for 3 weeks and absolutely loved it. Definitely hoping I can return some day and would highly recommend this home to anyone traveling to the area!

Everything was nice

The house was very nice, nicely furnished, nice atmosphere. I think you should spray 2 or 3 days before the tenants arrive so there won't be dead roaches on the floor. We had a great time. Staying here was worth the price. Keep things the way they are as far as pricing and we may come back next year.
