The home was more than we imagined. It was fantastic for the family to relax and enjoy the surroundings of St Simons. The pool and screened in back patio were amazing. And best of all we were so close to the pickleball courts and the pier shopping/food area. We would definitely rent it again.

This was the first VRBO reservation that was 100% as listed. We only had 7 in our party but it could easily fit the 12 as noted. In fact 12 could hang out in the living room, eat dinner together, or sit on the porch or pool together. They were clear on what was provided and what we needed to bring. We were .2 of a mile from a great downtown area with shops and restaurants. We only had a smallIssue with the cable but within 10-15 minutes of contacting the agent, someone was there and the issue resolved. The staff we worked with were excellent and checked in with us every day to make sure things were ok. First 10 out of 10 rating I have ever given!!Definitely recommend this property and area!

Great space close to town

We had a really fun stay at Sunshine Magnolia. Two families of 4 traveled together. Really excellent outdoor space, with a screened porch, outdoor deck chairs, hammock, and of course the the pool. Bedrooms are divided into two different sleeping areas on opposite sides of the house, allowing for privacy and some quiet. Kitchen very well set up, had everything we needed. Walk easily to shops, ice cream, restaurants and the pier. We rented bikes and could bike further up the island to east beach. A great playground essentially right out the back fence was another asset for the kids.

Cute and cozy

Beautifully decorated, it was well equipped with all the basic needs in our stay. The only inconvenience was a problem with their water heater. Hot water would only heat up if we did one shower at a time, they said the reason was because it was an older home. If that had been on the description, it would have help me decide if it was worth it paying so much for the property. After a couple of emails with my concerns, verbo was able to give me a 10% discount for the inconvenience.

Great for Family Vacation

The property was beautiful. I did not realize this was managed by a property management company at the time of booking. They send you a completely different contract to sign and my vacation was almost cancelled because the emailed contract went to junk. Luckily a text was sent and I was able to sign the contract and all was good. They send check out texts the morning before you leave which made me feel rushed and took away some of the relaxation as I am an anxious person and had already gone over the required steps prior to starting the vacation. I did like that had we had any issues, the property management company had an on call number and check in was easy.

Ideal beach stay

In the past, our family trips to SSI have focused on the beach. We decided to switch it up this year and stay closer to the village. It proved to be our favorite trip so far. Sunshine Magnolia was within walking distance of just about everything - shops, restaurants, ice cream, playgrounds, the pier. We rode bikes to the beach and only needed our car to haul beach gear or pick up groceries. The house suited us perfectly. It was very comfortable, fully outfitted, and exactly as pictured. We cooked in the kitchen almost every night and found everything we needed. The back yard and pool were ideal and we spent the majority of our time in the shade of those glorious live oak trees. The property managers were the best we’ve ever dealt with, checking in often to make sure all was well. We loved our time at Sunshine Magnolia and definitely hope to return.

SSI vacation

We did our first all family vacation this year and it was a big success. Sunshine Magnolia was a perfect home for us. We were all VERY happy with the size because there was 9 of us. Everything was perfect from the location to the cleanliness of the house. I did text them a couple times and they responded very fast and took care of any issue. The pool was great and warm because at times the weather was a little cool for us. The only suggestion I would have is that the 2 garbage bags provided was not enough. We also recycled and they have a bin for recycling which was nice. All in all we enjoyed our time on SSI and the home on Magnolia. We would like to come back. SSI is a lovely place.

Fun house in great location!

Group of 10 adults stayed to celebrate the New Year. Wonderful location with a short walk to shops and restaurants. We loved the heated pool! Beautiful outdoor space. Clean house with well-stocked kitchen. Could use more soft seating in the den since the home sleeps so many people. Great visit!

Our extended family of 12 had a great stay during our reunion in St. Simon's Island. The home exceeded our expectations. The large spaces of the kitchen and dining / living room were appreciated. The master suite was huge. The home was very close to the village and pier. The grand kids really enjoyed the heated pool. All and all a great stay!

Wonderful family vacation home

This house was perfect for our long weekend family vacation. We wish we could stay a week so we could have enjoyed all this rental has to offer. The neighbors who were out for a walk were friendly and welcoming. This home had one of the most well equipped kitchens. The location was great....just a short shaded walk under a beautiful old oak hammock to the pier for shopping and restaurants. The beds were super comfortable. I can't think of one thing that needs improving except the listing said there was "coin operated laundry" but no coins needed. :)

Wonderful Stay in St. Simons!

The house was absolutely amazing! Just like the pictures. Check in process was extremely easy and they accommodated our early check in. A few blocks from all that St. Simons has to offer. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen well stocked and the home was extremely clean! Thank you for being a great host!

Great location, not so great house

We’ve been to St. Simon’s a handful of times and it has become our kids’ favorite destination. We enjoy staying someplace close to the shops and restaurants so we can walk to everything. The location is fantastic with the many amenities St. Simon’s has to offer all within walking distance. The house was spacious enough for our 3 kids, plus the in-laws. The pool was very nice, seemed newer and it was a comfortable temperature; newer lounge chairs in the pool area as well. The home is surrounded by the beautiful oak trees and just across from a park with a playground. There were beach toys and chairs available as well. When we pulled up to the house you can tell immediately that it was dated, the front door was absolutely disgusting and dirty with a finicky lock that didn’t exactly provide a welcoming entrance. As soon as I opened the door the first thing I could see was filth on the wall. I get it people are checking in and out all summer I’m sure it gets beat up but a magic eraser would do wonders. There were updates to the home but corners were definitely cut. The bathroom on the first floor has a nice hole in the ceiling. The furniture both inside and outside was covered in filth. I sat down very few times because I literally couldn’t find anyplace clean to sit and relax other than the resin pool chairs. If you didn’t want the bottom of your feet to be black you had to walk around the house in shoes. There were parades of ants in the kitchen and roaches too!
