This isnât Abe Lincolnâs log cabin, but he was alive when it was last renovated!! Letâs begin. Looking for a rugged outdoors experience where nature and your home intertwine and become one? Look no farther than the Mammoth Arch cabin in Red River Gorge. If you're feeling extra after a few drinks, turn the cabin bathroom light on and you'll have an instant disco dance floor, complete with strobes. While you relax, understand that nature is all around you. Crawling across the floors, as if you've invaded their space, will be wooly worms, red worms, and large spiders. We removed four spiders, 3 woolies, and 1 redworm in less than 48 hours. Once you've de-bugged the living space you can flip the lid back on your dirt filled hot tub and sink into the murky waters. Relax. Listen to nature and climb out and take a shower with your shampoo and body wash that are smaller than travel sized toothpaste tubes. You get one of each to share between all occupants of your group! You will find copious amounts of kitchenware, some towels, toilet paper, and paper towels. Bring coffee filters! Before checkout wash your towels/cloths in the stacked washer and dryer that I'm pretty sure will tip over by the time the house cleaner arrives. Pretty sketch but it may do the job, one last time! If it does go south, and something catches fire, the one removed smoke detector and the one with the battery hanging out may be of no help. Not worth it.
